Question about Televison & Video
HAVE HAD THE TV UNPLUGGED FOR ABOUT A MONTH , NOW WHEN I PLUGGED IT IN AND TURNED ON THE POWER THE RED LIGHT TURNS ON BUT THE SCREEN STAYS BLACK AND DOESN'T DO ANYTHING , I HAVE TRYED PRESSING THE ON BUTTON AT THE TV AND AT THE REMOTE , BUT STILL NOTHING ! I HAVE HEARD SOMETHING ABOUT A FUSE BEING SHOT BUT I TOKE THE BACK PANEL OFF AND CAN NOT SEEM TO SEE ANYTHING THAT RESEMBLES A FUSE.

I just checked and my tv was purchased with a credit card that gave a double warranty. I have to fill out some things but it should be fixed eventually...

yes call the tech and have the power board replaced. In future have the TV plugged into an anti surge board to protect it ( and you from expensive repair.) I suspect you will need a new power supply fitted

Plasma tvs do not have "back lights" LCDs do. you probably have a bad driver board along with the upper or lower buffer board or maybe both, best to have a tv shop look at it.
