Reinstalling windows os

I know what the problem is with my computer i already asked a technician but i was hoping to get some do it yourself help. i need to reinstall the os on my acer aspire 5336-2281 i was wondering if i could do a factory restore on it but i was concerned that i might bring back the virus i had on here a while ago. my vp took care of the virus but then i came into all this trouble and now i need to go back. I also deleted the administrator account so im stuck in standard mode. thus needing the re-installation of the os. answers?

Restoring your Acer back to factory setup will not bring back any viruses.
BUT you need the Acer recovery CD for your model laptop.
Acer Recovery CD is available from their WEB site.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I want the comparison of notebook with OS and without OS

Notebook with OS means it comes with the Operating System (Windows XP, Windows 7, UNIX, or something already running on it)

Notebook without OS means that you will be purchasing a notebook without an operating system and need to install one yourself.

In short, a notebook without an OS is useless... unless you already own a licensed operating system that you are going to install yourself.

Hope this helps you

Upon startup it asks for a password. It wont let me do anything without this and I dont know what it is?

if you dont know what it is your best bet it to reinstall the operating system. i would get a cd of whatever sytem you would like on it and pop in the dic and reinstall windows. you would lose everything already saved on the computer but if you have no idea what the password is im guessing your not particurally interested in whats already on there. i hope this helps

Booting issues

Mini's doesn't come with an optical drive. Better go to a local technician to have your hard drive pulled out and important files extracted and saved on an external drive.

When the hard drive is installed back in your laptop, you may reinstall factory image by pressing or tapping F8 on the Dell logo.

- Select "Repair your computer" and press Enter.
- Click Next when you're in a page asking for the keyboard language options.
- Type your password when prompted.
- select Image Restore and click continue.

Your system will reinstall a new copy of the operating system it came pre-installed together with all the software included when you first got your machine.

Hope this helped... ^_^

BSNL net connects but after some time svchost.exe error occurs

Hi,

The problem is with the Windows operating system. Either the OS is infected by a virus or it is corrupt.

The best and effective thing I can suggest you is to reinstall the Operating system on the computer. Please scan your computer once you have reinstalled the OS using a good antivirus.

Hope this helps.

How can i update the system to service pack 3

there of lot of changes done while installing updates and it especially changes some registry values too... so sometimes it affect some programs which are running well and would become ok once the program is reinstalled but there might be data losses to avoid this only it is asking you to backup... the entire os is not reinstalled...

Software counterfeiting?

tell technician if he used pro with a key already installed
he needs to change key

or reinstall with xp home if the pc has sticker on side originally.

usualy this is the result of p2p xp customizers that make "lite" versions and so on.

i have downloaded a real oem xp home from most makers like hp, dell, sony the xp home cd works for all with same key under laptops with home sticker. or desktops on its sides or rear.

My Computer always restart eventhough i had turned it off, plis help me!!!!

No mention of which OS so assuming you have XP,
I would suggest a format and reinstall.
This will give the system a new breathe of life.
Heres hoping you have the OS disk,ie XP Win2K
It should be straight forward if you have the disk,
just insert disk and reboot once it restarts,
the system should ask if you want to reinstall the OS,
Select to install over existing system and let this run until its finished the new install.
When install completed activate windows,
Register Windows when your ready and dont forget the SP2 updates,do these updates if you want the devices to work properly, and all should be ok.

If you have no disks,
check if there is a partition on the C drive with a restore image on there,it will be easy reinstall from there.

Let me know if this helps,,,thanks
