SOURCE: gt trailz currie scooter needs good battery

Hi, Is this the 12 volt 10 amp battery? If so go to ebay to buy this it will be much cheaper. You DO NOT have to buy the battery from Currie. For troubleshooting that control box, I will give you an link for it. http://www.electricscooterparts.com/troubleshooting.html

SOURCE: ezip 150 electric scooter. won't start.

Hi, did you charge the batteries for at least 8 hours? Make sure that your charger has a RED Light When you plug it in, You should see Green light in 4-8 hours depending on the Batteries.
Secondly Your scooter batteries were dead when you got the Scooter, Judging from the fact you didn't get a Charger with it. I would recommend getting a voltmeter and checking the battery voltages. If the voltage is 11-12 volts, then you need new batteries. If this doesn't work check that fuse on the scooter it could be blown.

Is there a power switch on the charger? Is charger connected to the battery? Are the batteries fully charged?

SOURCE: When i charge my ezip

I'm having the same problem. checked fuses and both are good. going through the wiring harness to look for shorts. have a bad feeling the micro controller died, that is the little plastic box with metal fins on it under the seat post behind the batteries ******* to the frame. i can bypass the micro-controller and connect one 12 volt battery directly to motor and runs full speed. somehow it is wired with 2 - 12 volt batteries in series to give 24 volts and them the processor cuts back down to 12 volts to run the motor. not sure why this is engineered this way? still working the problem. what sucks so far is that the micro controller is encased in resin so it is virtually non repairable.
* Update added.
Found these wiring harness for sale online scooter stores and on ebay. I replaced mine with some intermediate level adapting the harness to my model scooter and this includes some soldering and wire splicing changing power connector heads off old harness to new harness to fit bike. Works great.

SOURCE: ezip 400 will not charge...fuse is fine, bought new charger, still won't charge. The charger always shows green. When throttle is turned, you can hear a slight ticking noise...what can it be?

I am seeing several posts where this is recurring. Has anyone found a solution to this? Thank You..

Hi I have a ezip 400 scooter we just bought a new charger and the charger has a green light but the ezip its charged I was thing maybe its a loss wire or something I got the ezip from someone said if

Push the circuit breaker back in first. The scooter will not move if the charger is connected. If the scooter has sat unused for a long time, the charger will NOT recover the batteries. Charge them individually with an automotive charger until the voltage is at least 11 volts each. May take a 12 or more hours. If you can't get 11 volts after that time then the batteries are gone.

The light came on because the charger brought voltage up to full, but when you hit the throttle, the voltage dropped since the charger cant power the motor. While checking the wiring (which I assume people automatically do), bypass the power switch with a screwdriver or a jumper wire. If it works, replace the switch. Check the battery with a multimeter...you should get > 25.2v full charge, no load. If you get 0v, check the fuse in the battery case. If all of the above check out ok, and it's totally dead, you probably need a controller.

When I connect my battery light dims on battery and speed control wont work Battery is fully charged.

The more you recharge a battery, the battery's lifespan is reduced. After a certain amount of charges, the battery will not be able to hold a charge for a long amount of time.

Note: Make sure it is a rechargeable battery
