What are the voltage requirements for a Whistler 1450. I know it is 12v, but how many amps? And is the tip positive or negative? Thanks.

Most of the whistler products, as are most 12vdc automotive devices, have the center / tip as positive. Your actual detector likely draws less than an amp based on the wiring gage that typically feeds these detectors. Are you trying to replace the original power cable or attempting to hardwire the detector?
