Hi Could someone help me solve a problem I have with this TV it switches on then after a short while goes off, the light goes red and the other two lights start flashing. If I unplug the unit it sometimes will start working for a while before doing it again. If someone can tell me what to look for, or let me know where I can download a schematic diagram for this tv.

I had the same problem and it turned out to be the remote control unit lying in the room which became faulty, sending continious "off" signals to the TV, not the TV itself. I can send you scanned copies of the schematic if you still need it.

Schematics are getting increasingly tough to find, even Sams isn't bothering to keep pace anymore since it is difficult to earn money doing service on this stuff.
You might check with them to see if you are one of the lucky ones:

It is likely, but not certain, that the main power supply is failing since this affects the entire set and a decent tech could locate the primary source of the problem pretty quick - that is, if you can find that 'decent tech.'
If the set is working fine until it goes on break, then it is likely a cheap problem to fix.
