Click start control panel administrative tools computer management device manager scroll down universal serial bus controllers you could see a yellow question / exclamation mark? ! or a red X

you will need to update/reinstall drivers

right click to reinstall drivers

if you can see your usb drive but its not working

ports (com&lpt) right click update driver if this fails to fix the problem

check the USB leads that attach to the motherboard usually red white green black make sure they are securely seated and have no dust build up on them dust will cause static and a lot of unforeseen problems for a computer and its parts

if you need more help with this post a reply

hope this helps you

SOURCE: USB Problem

for front usb port to be working you must give the 4 pin power cord connection to the front usb header ....

and about the back usb i think dome capacitor is gone so it is not working just have check with the capacitor and if it need get changed with new capacitor ...
if you dont have idea about this matter just visit the technician ...
he will do it..

for the usb be to work it need some power so it is provided by the capacitors as the current goes through capacitors so if the capacitor is gone it will not work as there will be no power supply from the capacitor if it is dead ...
so you need to replace the capacitor ...

so if you dnt have idea just take your motherboard to technician he will have the check and replace the capacitor ...

any doubts reply me
i am always here to assist you
thank you
bye

The port to which the printer is connected is not supported. Check the port

I'm assuming you are using a USB connection, not a Ethernet connection.

Try a different USB port (preferably in the REAR of the computer, not the front). It's not unusual to have 1 or 2 poorly-performing (low power) ports on a PC; some printers don't like those.

If you have a really old computer, it may have ancient USB type "1" (slow) ports instead of the newer 2.0 or 3.0 USB type. Some printers don't like old USB 1 ports, but it is not supposed to matter.

If all else fails, try another USB cord, or a shorter one. Some printers don't work well with cords longer than 4 feet, and USB cords can go bad.

Or, try the printer on another computer. If the same USB cord works fine there, YOUR computer has the problem (probably a USB port or USB driver issue).

Are you having issues with other USB devices? If so, it may be a Windows driver issue.

Good luck. If no help, post your exact printer model # here, or try contacting Lexmark.com support

Front Side USN dows not work in ASUS M2N MX SE

The front side port may be a "low power" USB port, it may be possible to "power" this if there is the capacity to connect a power cable to the front panel USB adapter, or there may be an aux power socket to plug into on the motherboard.

Front side USB port is not working

On some computers the front usb ports are like a usb hub, they don't have enough power to power up a hard drive.
