I think the vertical output chip is defective...it would help if I had the part number and a service manual...thank you, butler

I got your reply...where do I get a schematic for this model? I was a t.v. tech. for 25 years, but now retired....I don't know how to find the service literature for these later brand t.v.'s. Thank you, ralph watson

Have a similar problem with Durabrand bh2404d. Mine has a picture that is very out of focus and will not come into focus but inproves slightly the longer it is left on. Can you help??
I have had past experience some years ago with new or fairly new TVs which had vertical deflection failure. I suggest Checking all coupling capacitors on the circuit board around the vertical deflection circuits. One way to check is to turn the set on and slightly warp the circuit board and see if the deflection restores. I have found bad solder joins in several sets which lost the Vert. deflection and was simply repaired by re soldering the connections.

You have a bad vertical output IC, or the sweep power supply that drives the IC is bad. Your going to need the service schematic diagram and the know how to fix solid state electronics.
