What you can do is download this software VCL media player, it lets you play any video format or audio format on your laptop, just type that softwware on google or yahoo, it should come up. If it works, let me know how it went.

Using usb stick

First you will have either copy and pate the movie or download it to your usb drive

One of the benefits of putting files on a USB flash drive is that you can make any type of file portable.

This includes not only documents, spreadsheets and photos, but also media like video clips and movies.

If you have movies saved on your flash drive that you want to view, watching the movies directly from the USB drive is a simple process and can be achieved on almost any computer.

Connect your USB drive to the device on which you want to watch your movies.

This includes all USB-compatible computers, as well as some select television-compatible devices (like the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 or Sony Media Extender).

Launch the file explorer application on your device.

In Windows, access this utility by accessing the "Computer" application and then double-clicking the USB drive to display the files.

If you are trying to watch the movie files on a compatible television device, look for a "media," "device" or "USB input" application or button to bring up the file explorer.

Select the movie file you want to play.

In Windows, do this by double-clicking on the file.

The appropriate media-handling program should automatically launch and begin playing the movie automatically.

If you are using a television device, select the file from the list of compatible files in the device's internal explorer system.

hope this helps

No audio after recording from sat. Reciever

Double-check your input cables from the receiver to the LG 389. Do you have the sat. receiver AV out connected to the front AV In on the LG DRT389? Make sure that you haven't mixed up the L and R audio connections on either side. (I've done something similar with RCA cables myself.) Next, try a different set of cables.

If that doesn't work, there may be a problem with the audio jacks on either your receiver or the 389. To check, plug the AV cables from the Sat. Receiver directly into the TV. If you have sound and video, then the input jacks on the recorder may be damaged.

Try using another input. (It looks like some models have the SCART input; you may need to set the input source in the menu under AV2 Decoder.)

The fact that you have audio output on USB and DVD's means that cables/connections between the LG289 and the TV are fine.

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the details of which AV port you are using on the LG389 for additional assistance.

Denon dvd player and playing mp3

Check the user manual, is it able to play mp3 files? You've not mentioned the model number so, you could try going to the Denon Support pages:-

http://www.denon.co.uk/uk/support/pages/support.aspx

There you should be able to download a guide if needed and/or check whether there are any firmware upgrades to download for your player.

Youtube

If you can't play videos once you've successfully installed the YouTube for Mobile app, one of the following issues may be causing the problem:

  • Your phone may not support streaming video. Check by trying to play a video at http://m.youtube.com
  • Your streaming video access point may need to be configured outside of YouTube for Mobile. Depending on your phone and mobile data provider, this access point may need to be the same or different from YouTube's. For more help with these settings, please see the "Access Settings" article.
  • If you've successfully played videos with YouTube for Mobile before, your network connection may not be strong enough at the moment. Please try again later.
  • Your carrier might block RTSP traffic which is required to transfer the video.

    hope this helps

I Have purchased a AVH P3250,, i cannot play any videos by a usb or even by an ipod, what do i do? and do we need some special cable to play a video through an ipod??? Please Help!!

I've checked out some specs for you, this item cannot play video from an iPod apparently. It will play DivX encoded videos from CD/DVD/USB/SDcard. it will play it will also play dvd's or Video CD. i think the video in these is a wrapper that includes MPEG4 video and some kind of audio. You might be able to play .avi files for example.

I have a weak internet connection using wimax especially on you tube and skype.

in that case you need to have a word with your internet provider. wimax is ok if you have no other options available to you - I've used it and it always gets drop-out and is always affected by the weather.

If your having trouble watching youtube videos, stop it playing as soon as you select the video and wait for it to download before playing.

You might want to get a faster internet connection.

My flip camera says its empty but when I try to record it says its full??

Your memory card may think it's full if you've been deleting pics from it when it's in your PC and not in the camera.

If you've offloaded all the pics you want to from your memory card, put it back in your camera and "reformat" the card - there should be instructions how to do this in your camera manual. (If you've misplaced your manual you can likely find an online version on the website of your camera manufacturer). Hopefully this will fix your problem.

From now on, (even if you have to buy a new memory card), don't do any editing or deleting of pics directly on the memory media while it is in your PC (or Mac). Offload your pics to a file of their own on the PC (you can edit pics from that file). Then put the memory card back into the camera, verify that you did indeed successfully offload the pics to the PC (with the media card out of the PC), then delete the pics from the card while it's in the camera.

Reformat the memory card periodically (in the camera) after you've offloaded your pics (reformatting will erase all pics so you've gotta be sure you captured them elsewhere) to maintain the 'health' & full functionality of your memory card.

thanks.
