Question about HTC Cell Phones
Give AT&T a call and tell them you want it activated.
If it's not that then you may just need to update on the network. You do this by searching for all available networks and then selecting any other than AT&T... You'll get a message saying "request denied" or "not allowed"... Then all you have to do is search through the networks again and select AT&T. If you've never been able to send them then chances are, AT&T need to activate the service.

Hi Kim, Contact your provider and ask them to send you there WAP and MMS settings, usually when you recieve theese you switch off your phone, power it back up and YOU need to send a picture to activate the MMS settings with your provider. Good Luck!

I'm a HTC Hero user on Meteor BillPay. Had the same problem and got the following solution from Meteor support which worked for me. On the phone, navigate to :
- Wireless Controls
- Mobile Network Settings
- Access Point Names
- Meteor Data
- APN Type
Change the value here to the word "default".
Restart the phone and bob's your uncle. I did this and it worked a treat.

I just got off the phone with tech support. I did NOT have wifi on and i was still not able to get picture messages.
The tech reset my internet settings on their end and had me turn my phone on and off and it started to work! She said that the first step to troubleshoot this on your own is to:
Menu ->Settings->about phone->system update->update profile
