SOURCE: I have one intel 845gvsr

Hi there
Three Long Beeps = Keyboard/Keyboard card error
An error with the keyboard can be caused by any of the below possibilities.

  1. Keyboard is not connected properly.
  2. Stuck key
  3. Bad keyboard
  4. Bad PS/2 or AT port
Solution:Keyboard is not connected properly
Verify that the keyboard is connected properly to the computer by turning off your computer and then disconnecting and reconnecting the keyboard to the computer.

Stuck key

Ensure that there are no stuck keys on the keyboard. If all keys appear to be ok and you have a standard desktop computer with keyboard, attempt to turn keyboard over and gently hit the back of the keyboard to loosen any dirt or hair that may be stuck in the keyboard.

Bad keyboard

Try another keyboard on the computer to verify that the keyboard has not gone bad.
Bad PS/2 or AT port
If all of the above solutions are not able to resolve your issue it is likely that the port on the back of the computer may be bad and the motherboard or I/O board may need to be replaced.

Good luck and kind regards

SOURCE: No Dispay, No Beep

Try leaving it off but with power to it (should see a small green LED on Mobo) for about 30 minutes or more.

After this time try starting it with RAM installed of course!

If this doesn't work your Motherboard is dead.

6 long continuous beep no display my pc board

1- You need the motherboard model. It should be written somewhere on it. Here is a link to help you do that: http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000504.htm
2- You need to search for your motherboard's manual online. Most manufacturers keep all their manuals (even of really old models) in their support section. If not, you can try this site: http://www.motherboards.org/mobot/manuals/
3- In the troubleshooting section of the manual, you should find what 6 long beeps means.

Personally, I used to have an MSI G41M-P33 and had a 3 long beep signal with nothing else when I tried to start my computer. The manual said that it was because it could not read the first 64KB of memory... turns out the RAM (memory) slots were bad and I could never boot with it.

Good luck!

1. Along beep on a motherboard indicates something is connected backward such a a fan or a data cable to the hard drive.
If it is the hard drive cable then you must have pin 1 connector turn around and therefore the mother board is giving a warning.
2. You may have a power supply failure that is the power supply is not giving proper voltage to the mother board.
3. Your ram chip is not properly seated in the RAM slot or in backwards.
4. The CMOS battery to the mother board need to be replaced.

Emachine will not power up

By nothing else, from a technical standpoint this would mean literally nothing, the CPU fan, power supply fan, aux fan, disk drive not spinning up, etc. My experience with EMachines is their motherboards aint the best, have been known to take out hard drives and other peripherals to the mother board. If you are technically inclined the first thing to do is to bare out the system, Power Supply attached to the Mother Board w/ Cpu Monitor and Keyboard no Hard Drive and no Non esential boards installed, very carefully remove the memory and start it up all should be fine except it should give you a long beep from the PC Speaker indicating the Mother Board is aware there is no memory installed if it will not do this most basic of tests this is not good. If it does give you a health beep continue to install one item at a time, first the memory, the display should, if working, tell you there is a boot failure, of course, the hard drive is not connected, do so and keep on testing. Without knowing what type of mother board you have, most likely an AT with integrated peripherials the process to determine exactly what the problem is would take hands on trouble shooting. If you dont get the beep indicating the mother board cant determine if memory is installed and truley nothing else is on it is more likely the mother board. There are several good ones online that will fit your case if you want to go this route. Or is it time to upgrade ?

EMachine T3406 wont boot

is there a post beep when the pc is switched on. check the memory if it is a beep beep beep sound , also disconect the hard drive, dvd drive, floppy, and any usb devices and see if it boots up. if that fails it does seem like the mother board, also check the cpu fan has it stoped. also find out the power switch conector on the mother board, from the base unit switch to the mother board. also chech the power connector from the power supply to the mother board , on newer boards there are two that go to the mother board its self , a big one and a very small one .

If it has nothing else at all installed in it, then yes it is. The long beep tells you something is not right in boot sequences.
