Keyboard malfunction

OK, if an external keyboard wortks you have diagnised a faulty laptop one.

Search on google for your make model and get a replacement that is the same as your old one.

Replacing the keyboard is straight forward. Usually you need a very thin flat head screwdriver, look at the top of the keyboard where it joins the main laptop and you should see 3 or 4 small clips. Push the scredriver onto the clips and gently pull the keyboard up, repeat this until all the clips on the top and at the sides are loose and the keyboard is free. Sometimes there is a retaining screw which you can get to from underneath the laptop which will need to be removed. When you lift the keyboard up you will be able to see the ribbon cable connected via the keyboard connector. There is a grey clip that you open to remove the ribbon from the laptop. To install the keyboard just reverse the steps.
Always remember to remove the battery beforehand.

Hope this helps

Toshiba Laptop: Model Number: L505-S6951, Part Number: PSLL0U-01H00D One (1) came off. How can I repair without replacing the whole keyboard.

The clips underneath are normally available on ebay, they are pretty easy to insert once you find the right clips for your machine, search on Toshiba Satellie Keyboard Clips on there

The rubber linings inside the keyboard have shifted. you need to open up the keyboard and re allign the rubber padding with the correct keys or take it back to your supplier if its still under warranty.

Generally, it's easier to just buy a new keyboard. If you really like your current one, have you tried superglue? Should work on keyboard plastics.

Otherwise, phone the manufacturer of your keyboard?

Ms 8000 mouse pairing code

You choose your own code. It's a keyboard right? So it has numbers on it...and an Enter key.
1. Press and hold in the small button next to Bluetooth symbol under the keyboard for 5 seconds. The charge indicator lights at the top of the keyboard should alternate flashing red then green.
2. Search for Bluetooth devices on the devices you wish to connect the keyboard to. The Keyboard should be listed there.
3. Enter a code of your choice into the device you are paring the keyboard to and submit it. I used a 4 digit number which worked without a problem.
4. Type the same code and press Enter on the Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop 8000 Keyboard.
The keyboard should now be paired with your device.
Good luck, - GregAndo

The M button on the keyboard stoped working(I've done this with copy-paste). All other buttons functioning properly. I restarted the computer but no results. Is it virus or technical problem? How do I open...

This is most likely a bad button on your keyboard. You can get a new keyboard for about $13 on ebay, including shipping. just run a search for inspiron 1521 keyboard.

to replace it, you need to remove the bezel above the keyboard. I dont remember for your particular model if you have to remove screws for this, but im fairly certain you dont. It should just be secured with clips, so you can pull it out, from the right side first working your way to the left. If it hangs in any spot check under the battery to make sure there are no screws to remove. Once the bezel is removed you will see 2 or 3 screws holding the keyboard in. Remove these and lift the keyboard up from the back. Then pull it toward the screen to undo the bottom clips. THere will be a ribbon cable from the keyboard to the motherboard. There is a clip you lift up where it plugs in to the board. Then the cable will just lift out. Then you just put the new one in, following my directions backwards :D It will actually be pretty obvious once you are this far.

try re-installing the driver for your keyboard. If did not solve, try using your keyboard to another machine and see if it works there.

If it stil didn't work i suspected your keyboard is faulty. You might need to buy one since there's no way to change 3 keyboard keys only.
