2GB SANSA Express

Hi,

I have a Scandisk sansa express 2GB MP3 player.
Initially it was working fine. After few days its stopped working.
When i connect my MP3 player to the laptop (VISTA OS) i can able to detect the device and am able to see the files in that.

After unplugged if i start the player it is not getting started.

I have contacted technical support scandisk they have suggested driver updates but still am not able to start my MP3 player.

Can any one suggest is there any problem with this version player?
What is the resolving steps to correct my player.

I will be very much thankful to you, if you can give me some solutions.
Thanks & Regards

You may need to get either a memory stick to go in the available spot, or if you do not already have one and do not want to spend any money, get a paper clip and carefully stick it in the slot and it should come automatically.

    Here it is clearly:
First, try a soft reset. Do this by pressing the center button and the up volume button simultaneously and try turning it on. If that does not work for you, you will need to get a micro sd card (it can be a dummy) and insert it into the slot on the side of the mp3 player. If you do not have one, you can use one of the round edges of a paper clip (be careful) to get it to come on. When you put either in, it should come on automatically, but if not, just press the power button. This should work.

My sansa express dosnt know it has a micro sd card full of music in it. please reply to: benharris185@msn.com

Early versions of the Sansa express will not support High Density microSDHD cards whcih are usually found in Cards greater than 2GB and definetely on cards greater than 4GB.
In Flash drive mode, make sure that the microSD card can be seen on your PC as a second drive for your Player. To ensure better compatibilty, I would suggest that the microSD card be FORMATted while inserted in your Player.
I would initially only put a couple of songs on your microSD card to test that the card is compatible.

Micro sd probelem

Well, the most memory from a micro sd card the Sansa mp3 player can take is 2gb, because anything more will freeze up the player because it was not designed to read that much memory. So if you have a 1gb or a 2gb memory card, then you can use them.

Just to be sure, try both of these: First, try a soft reset. Do this by pressing the center button and the up volume button simultaneously and try turning it on. SANSA EXPRESS

Not sure but it could be dead, but dont worry till you do a hard reset by pressing and holding down the "select(Square button)"and "volume up" buttons.

I just got mine today and been looking through the sandisk forum.

Hope that helps bye :)
