SOURCE: Bread pan shaft hard to turn

I had the same type of problem with mine and found out you remove the kneading part that spins and pull up the seal underneath. You will probably find dough has gotten in under the seal somehow and caused problem. I just took a toothpick to it and voila! Trouble is you have to be careful not to damage the seal by taking it out...

SOURCE: I have a Regal Kitchen

Since it is an old model, it is very hard and time consuming to find a replacement part. Meanwhile, I've also heard that Regal stopped the manufacture of Bread Makers. I'm not sure about their strategies for the production of replacement parts of those items which they have stopped manufacturing. You try to contact your dealer and local Regal office. Meanwhile, I'll be here, trying my best to find a replacement part for you. Will contact you back, as soon as I get one. Hope you will have the patience.
Cheers. Thank You.

SOURCE: Can I just get the seal for the bread pan? Or do I have to get the whole pan? If I have to thats al right too.

I went to one site that has parts and they wanted $69.99 for pan assembly which is is unreasonable in my opinion They wanted $19.99 for just the seal and you would have to know how to put it on and you would still have a used pan. Recommend you just replace your machine. If you want a good used machine visit breadmachineshelp.com

Hi..The sealed bearing that the paddle shaft rotates on is starting to fail. Soon it will freeze up entirely and you will need a new bread pan. Fill the bread pan half way up with hot water a few times and see if you can free it up to "buy some time" Hank

Oster 5821 Bread Maker: Paddle froze up, does not move

Hi,
That shaft fits into a sealed bearing that is riveted to the bottom of the pan. When that seal freezes there is no way to free it up. The lubrication in the sealed bearing gets hard, especially if it's not used much..You may try putting hot water in the pan and soaking it but other than that the pan will need replacement. Sorry...Hank

If it's leaking from the bottom of the pan then the sealed bearing assembly is broken or defective. You will need a new bread pan. Sorry Hank

The axis in the bottom of the pan, which holds the paddle, won't turn. The axis in bottom of the machine does seem to rotate when I try it without the pan. Is there a way to fix the pan?

Hi,
Try putting warm water in the pan and let it soak. Try it a few times. If you can't turn the paddle by hand, then the sealed bearing that turns the paddle is frozen and can't be repaired. Sorry Hank

Sqeaking when kneading oster 2 loaf bread machine - how to oil?

Hi,
Take out the bread pan and go to a kneading cycle. See if it is squeaking. If yes, then it could be the belt squeaking on the pulley or the motor itself. If it does not squeak when the pan is out, then it's the bread pan paddle and sealed bearing. That sealed bearing is lubed and sealed. It can't be oiled. Hank

The paddle will not stay in the machine and the water leaks out

Hi,
The sealed bearing at the bottom of your bread pan has failed. There is no fix for it. You will need to hunt around for a new bread pan. Check ebay. (My pan failed also, and the pans on eBay were about $30.00. I bought a brand new Sunbeam at Walmart for just under $50.00. Oster and Sunbeam are the same). Good Luck...Hank

Hi,
There is a sealed bearing at the bottom of the pan. This allows the paddle to rotate. The bearing has failed and is falling apart. This usually happens with age or use. Time for a new bread pan. If you are lucky you can find one on ebay. Sorry for the bad news....Hank
