Question about Sony Handycam HDR-UX7 Camcorder
About 6 months into having this camcorder, I started to get the error C:13:02 (disk may be scratched). I tried MANY different types of disks. Eventually, the problem increased to the point where it happens 100% of the time. Every disk I put in there gives me this error.
Try to use a cotton swap to 1st clean the recording lens or blow gently on it. Place an empty disc in, format the disc, record a little scene. Turn off camcorder. Place the error disc in the camcorder, turn on the camcorder all the way to play/edit. If this doesn't work turn it to record and try to record. Worked for some of my error disc

Nero 7 Essentials.... I happened to find that is came with my Dell bundle software package but it was never actually installed on my PC. So I lucked out on having to purchase it.
Open Nero once installed -> Select "Make DVD, DVD-Video"
Select on the right -> "Import Disk" (insert your **** disk at this time)
#This step will import all of the on the disk that it finds and change the VOB files to .mpg files.
Click on "Save your project" periodically, now is a good time.
Now you should have a list of clips from your DVD. If you double click on the title area you can update the titles as you wish.
-Save again? -->Next, Review, Next,
You should now be at the point where you can burn to DVD or save to your hard drive.
Tip: Note when you imported the files and where they went to. You can make a copy of a .VOB clip if you are looking for just a clip of the video. Change the extension from .VOB to MPEG, save like this and then you should be able to open this file for viewing.
