Question about Televison & Video
I purchased the LCD TV in 02/2008, started powering off and back on, various color ghosting, alarm noise, clicking noise right after power on. After warm up for 15 to 30 minutes seems to work with some ghosting. After 5 months Magnavox wants $300 to mechanically replace a TV that original cost $399. Purchased from Best Buy and they want me to pay for labor to have Magnavox repair and TV gone for at least two weeks. I do not like either option. Any other suggestions? I am not sure why Best Buy or Magnavox will not standy by the manufacture or sale of the product. BBuy wanted $100 for service policy when the TV was purchased. That really seemed like a good thing to not do at the time. I have the same exact problem you are my 19mf337b is only 9 months old.
I am currently working on this model set and have discovered the same type of problems. Fix: 4 capacitors in the power supply section on the main board were defective (bulging out). Common problem with counterfeit parts that originate in China. See http://www.badcaps.net for details.
