Question about Dryers
Mike thank you for the quick reply. I got the old vacuum out and openedthe front of the dryer and vacuumed everything. I see where the problemis when I look into the dryer in the back where all of the holes arethere is alot of lint build up but it wont vacuum through the holes andI can't figure out how to get to that spot. Do I have to take the wholeback off the dryer? I have a frigidaire laundry center with the dryeron the top. Thank you again for all of your help!!

The heater has failed and/or is shorting to the case. Remove the rear panel. The heater is on the right side, attached to the heater housing with two screws.

When I read to manual, it said it was the lint. I use a paint brush to brush the lint off and usually the beeping stops.

Welcome to FixYa.
There are a couple of scenarios which may prevent the dryer from starting, but I can narrow it down to two probabilities based on your description.
To save time and back and forth dialog, I`ll mention the most likely and what to do about it.
**Unplug the dryer before attempting any repair tips suggested here please...safety first**
There is an auto shut off or emergency kill switch next to the motor which will prevent it to start in the event it was tripped for whatever reason.
It will look like this image below and all you need to do is push it to the right ( from the back )...
If you`ve already taken the back of the dryer off to gain access you should have no problem.
Either Scenario I alluded to ( the other would be resetting the hi-limit cut out you already referred to, you can see through the back vent opening when the vent is removed and then by pushing the red button in...shown below ) will require the removal of that panel so let me know if you require further assistance to do this.
Keep me posted how you make out or if anything is not clear.
Thanks for choosing FixYa and good luck.
