The larger fuel line goes from fuel filter to carbuerator. The smaller line is the return line from the purge bulb tofuel tank. mitchjl_1692

All tanks have a filter inside. Some must stick through the tank and be secured by a collar on the outside of the tank and on the fuel line. If you have that type, remove the collar and slide it down the line. Push the filter into the tank. With the fuel line loose from the carb, pull the filter out through tank filler hole. If you are going to change the filter, take the new one, insert the pointy end into the line until it is seated. Next, cut the other end of the fuel line on a diagonal (makes it easier to start into the hole) start the end of tube into the same hole that the filter was in. With the aid of your finger/s in the tank and pulling on the tubing, get the line in and the end of the filter through the tank. Slip the collar over the tub and push the collar up over the filter end and push it as tight as you can to the tank. If the filter just lays in the tank, all you need do is remove the filter and line through the filler hole. Again cut the new tubing on an angle.Feed the exact amount of tubing you are replacing and connect to carb. The return line has to be in the tank far enough to hold and connected to the carb. And, Walla! You are done. Good luck...Lee

Cut the end of the line at a sharp angle. Spray WD-40 on the line and fuel tank hole. Slowly screw the line in the tank far enough so you can connect the fuel filter if you are replacing that line. If not just push the line into the tank if you have a two line system. Remember on the fuel primer, the long tip has the line going to the tank, and the short tip has the fuel line going to the carb.

It sounds like you need to adjust the fuel mixture screw in the carb. To do this, while it is running adjust the screw in either direction until it runs properly without the choke.
