The reasons could be that the particular network connection has been disabled..go to my network places and right click on the connection and see if its disabled..another reason is that the ethernet driver is not installed..do check if both the lights at the ethenet port on your comp are flickering...

1. Purchase a micro USB cord and connect the phone to the PC. For some reason no ones provides the cord / adapter. It will look like a new drive in My Computer. Drag and drop like you would anything else.
2. Remove the chip from the phone and use a micro card reader to USB. Again a drive in My Computer... gl

I can't get my Compac Evo N610 to reconize my docking station usb ports what do i do?

I have a solutions that might work, please for the love of god, next time give it as much detail as possible. Navigate to Start>run type:MSCONFIG. Enable everything unless you are absolutely sure you don't need it.
Right click on My Computer, click on properties. Go to the hardware tab at the top, click on device manager to see if there is a conflict.
Try a different port.
Try the hub on a different computer.
If your hub has a power input, now would be the best time to plug it in.
Plug directly into computer.
Make sure the device is plugged in securely, same goes for the devices plugged into it.
If that port is for power only and you plugged it in thinking it would work for data, please don't ask.
Any error messages?
If your computer can boot off a flash drive, Go to bios, test the port and the hub.

Only one computer is able to connect to the internet even though i have 2 connected to the router

Well the modem should be connected to the UPLINK port on the router(the port without a number) both computers should be connected to the numbered port. Ensure you do NOT have a problem with one of your cables.

Replacing an ethernet port on my hp pavillion

Your ethernet port is probably integrated into the motherboard of your computer. Have you tried reinstalling the driver for the ethernet?

If the port is truly bad, my suggestion would be to purchase an ethernet card or NIC (Network Interface Card) and have it installed. You can get them for $15 to $25 at any big box computer store.

I just bought a Router and trying to use the eithernet cable, will not work with that but works great with USB cable.

It could be a faulty eternet port on the modem.

If you followed the instructions on the setup Cd that came with the router and it isn't picking up. Chances are the modem needs to be replaced.
