How can I clean a Lakewood fan, mine is so filthy and I cannot get in to clean. My husband says it does not come apart.

ok here is what I found....there should be screws on the outside rim where the two fan grates meet....then dust the innerds with a leaf blower or a rag, then use brake cleaner spray to soften the greasy dirt that formed, and again a rag to wipe away any residue....hope this works, it did for me

How to clean lakewood 2210 fan

Hi, if you look inside the grill from the back side, you will see there are small snaps inside near the edge of the cover. The snaps go around the entire cover and are about 3-4" apart.
I used a flat tip screwdriver to get push the tab up from the back and the inside of the grill. When you push up the tab a bit, then slide a small flat tip screwdriver on the outside lip of the front grill. You will have to do this all the way around until the cover snaps off. Putting it back on is a breeze because it just snaps together.
***AS ALWAYS SAFETY FIRST !! NEVER WORK ON ANY APPLIANCE When it is plugged in !! ***
Hope this helps.... =) good luck

How do you clean it inside?

To clean it you need screw driver- flat and crossed, a paint brush, a rags.
Be observant while disassembling the unit.
Often you begin with the cover, loosening the propeller hub, and so on.
Just put back parts when you assembling it. If your in doubt, have somebody to assist you.
It is not so hard to clean electric fan just follow what I mentioned.
Good luck.

The bottom switch is bad. Unplug bottom wires and touch them together, if heat and fan comes on your switch is bad.
