Question about Panasonic PV-HS2000 Showstopper 30-Hours Video Recorder

Open Question

Can't get showstopper hs2000 to complete online update. date is wrong year as well as wrong everything else. It goes through connection process but nothing has changed when it is done any ideas ho

I have 2 units and the one is fine channel guide and all info current although it did have a couple of times in a row that it did not update recently, but it's fine now. My other unit allows me to select net connect, dials, connects, counts % complete but just ends and nothing has changed the date is still way off and no channel info. ANy way to force the date to change? at least if that were fixed I could manually record but it is days, years and hours off!

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Yes, your hard drive has developed bad sectors. It will most likely need to be replaced. I am going through the same problem right now myself.

SOURCE: Panasonic PV-HS2000 - Hard replacement

just spoke with panasonic customer service team and he said to unplug and wait :30 seconds and then let the system roboot (which should take no more than 2 mins).

If it doesn't fix (which ours did not) then it most likely is the hard drive which will need to be replaced. You'll have to send to Panasonic Digital Service Center, 410 B Airport Road, Elgin, IL 60123. Fee is $149.95 + $30 return shipping. Put your return shipping info and payment within the box. Hopefully that helps. We got 7 years out of ours until these problems just started.
