Monitor issue Hi...I had connected my pc to my tv and everything was up and running fine.Yesterday I came home and my kids had disconnected the s-video from the tv to hook up a dvd player. When I re-connected it and powered up my pc I no longer had the connection...the tv was no longer showing my desktop as it had ben before. I don't know why. I went into settings to check the configurations and seem to have problems enabling the second moniyor and can't figure out what is wrong. I don't know if the kids were on the pc and changed something?I went thru the troubleshoot and drivers etc. are all working properly...any ideas why I can't enable the tv as a second monitor? I appreciate any help...thank you.

Why is my Lenovo desktop putting out a pink color across the monitor.

Usually it's a problem related to the Graphic card (expensive) but before replacing it I would try the monitor cable on a different Pc: sometimes it's just a matter of a damaged VGA or Hdmi cable, which is cheap to change

(DESKTOP) My 42" lcd tv acts as both my monitor for my desktop and my cable tv. Everything is connected via hdmi except for my soundbar. After 5-10 of no use with my pc the tv goes snowy or shows n

if you have cable-TV then you have a Set-top-box and there should be a separate HDMI cable from that cable box to the TV, as well as an HDMI-cable from the PC to the TV.

This means that when you want to use as a monitor, the TV Input would have to be changed to PC, and when you watch TV, you need to change the Input back to Cable. It sounds like you are watching TV through the PC.

There is your answer no power to the monitor. Make sure it is plugged in replace with another monitor if you cannot get the button on the monitor to power on the unit. Maybe time for another monitor. John

Hi, I have a Sony VGC-JS160J Desktop yesterday my kids were play and it turn off and don't turn on again

Disconnect the power from wall outlet for about five minutes also disconnect video cable from the PC.
Connect the cable to PC and power to known working wall outlet and see if it turns on.
Try a known working monitor and see if that works.
I hope this helps.
Good Luck and have a pleasent day.

yes it can be the video card issue , might be the video card doesnot support the monitor jst check how big is the monitor and also what type of the video card is installed on the HP pc.

Pc does not boot after power on

Try taking out the RAM and putting it back in. Sometimes RAM can have a loose connection which causes intermittent issues. Also check your monitor cable connection on the PC and the monitor to make sure you're not just loosing video connection.

Dell monitor not working

just try running the Test on the monitor(monitor self test) ie disconnecting the video cable of the monitor & leaving the power cable connected & then see if u r getting the red, blue, green multicoloured bard moving on the screen or not,if yes then the monitor is fine otherwise the monitor is bad.

Amber Light and fan running

1st thing, disconnect everything but keyboard mouse and monitor, see if anything changes.

If the issue persists, ensure that all power and card connections for the motherboard are tight and secure. If you've added RAM or other parts, remove them. Reseat the RAM in the motherboard that came from Dell.

If none of those ideas have any effect on the issue, replace the motherboard.

Speakers killed my moniter

Well as you have already tried disconnecting the peripherals from your computer, and tried restarting the computer too which did not help you, it sounds to be an hardware issue with the monitor. However if incase you have not tried this, you can disconnect the monitor completely from the tower, power on the monitor, if it powers on and you get a message as no signal, your monitor is working good. If not replace the monitor. If the message appears on the monitor screen, disconnect everything from the tower, push and hold the power button on the tower for a minute. Connect just the monitor and check for any display. If you do get display, thats good, connect one device at a time and check to see if the display appears.

If theres no display with just the monitor connected, the issue would be with the graphics card. You may need to replace it or get the system repaired.
