It could be the motor has gone out
or the power cord has gone out
only a sewing machine repair shop can say for sure

SOURCE: needle thread breaks while quilting on machine frame

I think you might have better luck if you use 40 or 50 weight thread.

SOURCE: show me how to use the auto threader

I was having the same problem with my new Juki.  I discovered today what I was doing wrong.  Notice on the diagram that the thread is in red?  and in the picture, it is a dotted line at one place?  That is where the thread goes behind the threader, and under.  Then bring the thread to the front of the threader where there is a guide for your thread at the bottom of the white piece.  If you put your thread behind the threader and then run it through the guide (a little **** in the white piece on the end) then you can let go of the threader and it pulls it right through!  Hope this helps!

SOURCE: I have the Jukie 98Q. Problem with needle

I am having the same problem. I think either the thread gets caught around the bobbin or the cloth is pulling the needle over to the plate, like the hole is too small for these shifts. I bought a "hand made" quilt from the store a few years ago and thought I'd add more quilting to it for fun. I have gone through over 30 needles on it. I'm going to try oiling it and I'll post it if that works, if not I'll post something when I find the solution. Oh, the heavier duty needles (jeans/leather) last the longest.

There must be a nut on it. just tighten it a little and in future, please apply some anti rust paint to it. it may look a little odd but it may work.

I have a Juki TL-98Q The thread cutter and the needle up down button don't work. How can I fix them?

Has a piece of broken needle or chunk of thread jammed into the blades and are not letting them move? If there was a big time thread jam it can actually break one of your blades and you will have to go to a repair man and have the blade replaced.

My Juki TL-98Q won't turn on. No hummm, nothing. I've checked all connections and they are fine. Cords are in good shape. It was running beautifully prior to this.

If the light is on but no noise at all when you press on the control it must be a break in the lead at the very least or the brushes on the motor at the worst

Hi
There are some other Juki machines which have free threading guides on http://www.sewusa.com/Sewing_Machine_Threading_Diagrams.htm Maybe one is similar to your machine as I couldn't see your model number listed.
Hope this helps!

Needle thread breaks while quilting on machine frame

My friend and I both have the Juki 98Q but on different frames - we were both having problems (needles breaking, thread getting tangled) we removed the thin metal thing inside the bobbin case and have had no problems since (over a year now!).
