Will not power on. Red light stays on all the time below the power sensor on the television. Tried using the power sensor on the television and the remote, but neither will turn the television on.

A few things to try first.
Let me know your findings and we can go from there.

SOURCE: Can I do a factory reset on a LG M227WD Television
Try this: Unplug the set and anything connected to it. Hold in the power button for at least 60 seconds. Plug in and try it.That may do it, no guarantees.
SOURCE: My 47' LG HD television
I had the same situation with my 47" LG. I opened the back and found 3 bad capacitors (bubbled on top). I replaced them at a cost of $1.20 ea at Radio Shack. I'm no expert at replacing these, so I let you tube be my teacher. I saved myself over $200 by doing it myself, not to mention there are some dishonest people out there that'll lead you to believe your TV is shot.. See the pics below of the "bubbled/bad" capacitors. These shoud have flat tops..Hope this helps....

Tries take both remotes controls pushes all the funsctions butons one by one on the front of a turn on Digital Camera, see if u will able to see all the INFER RED signal white light will flashing on the Digital Camera viewing screen. To make sure both the remotes are working and all the buttons are have INFER RED light signal out.Tries pushes all the tv manual buttons on the tv side too see if it is funsctioning too.If all these work testing work, than take some rubbing alchahol put on a rag clean the INFER RED sensors signals on the tv an the cable box by the tv power light LED indications lights.Tries these steps, make sure tv manual control tv side panel work and both remotes works and clean both INFER RED sensors on cable box and tv make it work better.Unplug the cable box for an hour for it to reboot and updating it softwares.Replug the cable box and now tries the tv remote or cable remote again, should functions now.
