You can not change the font on a type writer. It is mechanical and you are stuck with the type on the machine. If you want something different you need to use a computer or run a copy through a printer.
to change the Fontwriter ribbon, lift the transparent flap which covers the cassette and pull the old cassette upwards. Then replace with the new ribbon and close the flap. The menu will prompt you to tell the printer that the cassette has been replaced.
