Question about Apple iPod touch
Certain speaker systems and docking stations will not charge the new iPod touches and nanos because Apple changed their charging standard from 12v FireWire to 5v USB. You can still use the speakers to play music, but I'm afraid you can't use them to charge it.

Some speaker systems which are only compatible for charging the ipod nanos and classics do not work with the iPod Touch and the iPhone, the internals are slighly different from one another which will not allow that speaker system to charge your iTouch.
To play & Charge your touch, i suggest getting a speaker system that supports the iPod touch platform.
Hope this helps ?!
