    In Nokia phones its called

    Mobile Push-to-Talk service. You will have to contact your mobile carrier and see if they support it (usually do) Sometimes they charge additional fees for using it.

    You will also need that the person you want to contact using this service has also PTT feature enabled in their phone in order to make the transmissions.

    My mobile carrier actually charge for this service but the PTT transmissions does not use up the regular airtime minutes that are available for general voice calls

    Hope it helps

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I have a Vintage kinematix reverb with 5 wires red,yellow,white,brown and black how I hook it up what are the wire? it also has a delay tuning knob

usualy you have a transmit recieve switch
like this
.....common
RX <<-- >TX ptt

so three wires
the ptt button common in a cb with 4 pins is also ground
should be
black screen and i think brown
but you need to meter out the ptt common and RX TX
for rx audio switched radios then one pin is RX one pin is TX one pin is common or ground for the PTT and also ground for the screening copper braids and also ground for the transmit audio
so you have 5 wires
3 will be PTT 1 will be audio and one audio ground
usually white or yellow
so i think black and yellow or black and white
black being ground

just look up the schematic or service manual for your CB
and check out the 4 pin plug config
there is only two usual ones
cybernet or uniden so.. easy stuff
look for like cybernet cb 4 pin wireup in google or similar
remember just meter out using the beep test range on a cheep multimeter too see which three are the PTT
so the common of the ptt needs connected to the copper screening and also to the black wire all to the ground pin on the 4 pin plug
you can short from the ground pin on the cb side to its TX pin and the set will enter tx mode
same with rx audio enable {if uses most cb post 1984 dont use RX audio hard switching}
so just three pins to worry about

PTT blue dot icon visible

Different icons will appear on a cell phone to show you that it is available in the area you currently are, including a golbe for the internet-it does not necessarily mean that it is activated. Call your service provided just to be sure you are not being charged PTT charges.

I dont know what kind of radio i have

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, a CES- 600L is a DTMF encoder microphone with lighted keyboard. For your need:
  • almost always, the simplest requirement would be a 600 ohm mic and a PTT switch;
  • minimum of 3 wires are needed for a 2-way radio microphone to work;
  • 1-mic audio;
  • 2-PTT switch (must go to ground when PTT pressed to TX);
  • 3-common/GND;
  • in some, 4-RX audio (not needed if radio receives with no mic).
Having said the above, then any replacement microphone with appropriate microphone plug/jack could be wired to match the GE. A generic example is shown below.

Pls post back result(s). Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

PTT SCREEN HAS UNABLE TO ADD CONTACT MESSAGE:

I had this problem and we needed to contact our cellular company to verify settings. After some time looking into the problem they said it was a hardware malfunction and swapped phones for us. I think there must be a solution to this problem that the cell representatives did not know about.
