Hotpoint DF23: Wont go through full cycle

We have just bought a Hotpoint DF23 Dishwasher second hand and it will not go through the full cycle. Every time it gets to a new number on the dial it just stops.
It fills with water and washes and heats up ,dries etc just will not seem to go through the full wash.
Also, we do not have a manual for it nad wondered if anyone knew where we could get one?.
Hope you can help
Many thanks
Andy

Sounds like you may have to replace the cycle timer.

Hotpoint dishwasher full of water after cycle complete

If the motor is running, the diverter solenoid valve is probably not functioning. It is attached to the pump. With the power off, take the solenoid apart and remove whatever is jamming it. Toothpicks are a favorite as are any large food particle. It may also be bad. Not the problem...you may have a defective timer or your outlet hose is clogged or kinked.

The fuse in the plug keeps blowing. Initially it would run for a while - sometimes 3 or 4 cycles - before blowing. It now blows the fuse the second that I plug in to the socket, even with the on/off button...

Lower the outlet hose into a washing up bowl, it should then Drain. Check the heater to see if it is earthing you get to it by removing the right hand side panel.

Dishwasher will not go thru wash cycles

Hi
You have a problem which will need some knowledge of how the machine works and some test meter. There may be a problem with the motor. It may not beworking, jammed or dead -burnt out.The motor does the work after the water-cold,hot or medium-has entered.
The timer-you say works- will connect power to the motor to do its job, power to solonoid for the valves to open at the right time to let water in and out-pushed out by the motor.Remove the water with a cup and rags from the machine and then see if the motor turns by hand. This may mean you have to get under the machine.ALL WAYS REMOVE THE POWER CORD AT THE WALL POWER OUTLET--Jay
