SOURCE: cannot get the pilot light

Is the clicker making the clicking noise? If not, it is most probably the spark generator which houses the battery. The part is still available online for about £40. It did the job for me.

SOURCE: Valor flamenco unigas 2 fire

Valor uses either a Thermocouple or Thermopile, depending on the unit. In some cases, it has both. And, yes, your assumption is probably correct. Some thermocouples are a part of the Pilot Assembly, which means you have to replace entire pilot assembly. If you check you Owners Manual in the Parts Breakdown section, it will indicate if it is or not and whether you need a Thermocouple or Thermopile or both.

If you're not familiar with repairing gas fireplaces, replacing the parts listed above, can be a little challenging. Especially if you don't have the proper tools. But, before you jump on this project, try cleaning the Pilot Orifice first. You can easily do this, using canned compressed air with a straw nozzle (like you clean your computer with) by blowing out the pilot tip. And while you're at it, clean all around the pilot assembly with the canned air. If cleaning the pilot solved your problem, you're back in business. If it didn't you'll have to go the other route.

Hope this helps you solve the problem. Please be kind enough to rate my reply to you. Thanks!

My Valor fireplace won't turn off with the remote

Easy turn the gas cylinder close then its off,Or you could have a faulty control valve or thermo couple .Thermo couple is the small device looks like a probe to detect heat this is normally directly in the small pilot flame. The pilot flame if not burning will not open the control valve for the other burners to come on.If the other burners come on but do not go of when turned off. then need to check control valve.

Here's a link to the Valor website home page.http://www.valorfireplaces.com/

Click on the Downloads tab and you may find the Owners Manual for your gas fireplace. It will show you how to install and arrange the logs properly. If you can't find the model you have, on the manuals page, use their contact information and call them.

Hope this helps you.

Can I fit a Valor Homeflame Harmony gas fire with a class 2 flue?

Just for information ... whether you're doing it as a 'B' -Vent (Straight up) or a Direct Vent (Straight out the back), it requires an appropriately sized Coaxial Vent Pipe. A Coaxial Vent Pipe is a pipe within a pipe, That has an air space in between the inner and outer pipe. Of course it will also need the appropriate termination cover.

For for technical advice on proper venting go to http://www.valorfireplaces.com
