Question about Lexmark T630 Laser Printer
Posted by Anonymous on
922 means the fuser did not reach operating tempture. most likely the bulb in the fuser has gone out. Depending on how old your printer is, the fuser could need either rebuilt or replaced.

Service fuser error requires a maintenance kit, this is approx $1000 + installed, if this is new, I would be taking it back because it shouldnt have this error. You possibly might be able tto fix it by replacing the fan in the back but thats only worked for me in approx 1 out of every 10 times.

SOURCE: "922 SERVICE FUSER ERROR"
920, 921, or 922 Fuser Error:
The printer thinks the fuser unit is not heating up to the correct operating temperature. This can be due to a bad fuser lamp or possibly no power getting to the fuser unit. As a customer, the only other thing you can do is to check the connections on both the fuser unit and where it goes into the printer. Make sure neither connection is damaged. If you are a technician working on the printer, you can check the voltage coming off the system board and Low Voltage Power Supply (LVPS) to make sure power is getting to the fuser unit.

SOURCE: 922 service fuser error
a 922 error is created by an open ac circuit(lamp circuit) on the fuser. the t520 t 522's have lamp holder problems that allow arching from the ill fitting metal contact to the end of the heating bulb. it is not uncommon for the end of this contact to be cut completely in half by the arching causing the 922 error. there are 4 components making up this circuit #2 lamp holders a thermal fuse and the bulb it self. percentage wise for this arching causing this failure is really close to 99.5% of the time. this damage is clearly visable if you remove one of the lamp holders and look at the contact
