SOURCE: grinding noise when washer starts

hi there,

the grinding noise may be coming from either the pump or you have something caught between the drums.

the f-33 error is the pump drive system error. it indicates that you have lost communication between the CCU board and the pump. the CCU board is the main control board that you see in the front of your washer.

i would recommend that you call a technician to check it out, as you will have to do some checks that require technical knowledge.

its SD not 5D
Sd is displayed when the machine/motor control, by analyzing drag on the basket, detects a suds-lock condition, and is steady on while the control then runs a mini-clean out cycle. If the clean out cycle is unable to correct the over-sudsing problem, the cycle ends and Sd flashes in the display. This may signify: ➔ Load is bunched or twisted around agitator. ➔ Excessive detergent usage. ➔ Basket cannot engage during drain step. ➔ Mechanical friction on drive mechanism, not allowing basket to engage.

SOURCE: whirlpool cabrio washer keeps flashing code F50

The F50 error code indicates that the RPS (rotor position sensor) detects no motor rotation. Check to see if the basket spins freely. If not, you could have an item caught between the outer tub and the inner spin basket. A toy or other item underneath the washer could also prevent the basket from spinning and would result in this F50 code.

If the basket spins freely, you could have a wiring failure that would prevent the motor from spinning.

My washer started beeping con't and won't turn on or work. i pushed the cycle signal button an the beeping stopped . it still won't turn on. WHAT CAN I DO? IT SOUNDS LIKE IT HAS WATER IN IT STILL.

That model is a top loader. You should be able to see if it has water in it. The first thing to do is unplug it for a minute and see if it resets.
If it does not, you can drain it by taking the drain hose out of the house connection and lowering it and letting gravity drain it. You can also use a wet and dry vacuum to pull the water out of the drain hose. When it is drained you can then lay it down and check the pump and trap to make sure that it is clean. If it is then the problem is related to sensors or control board.
