Some cameras you need to turn on after they are hooked up to the computer for the computer to notice them. Click on my computer then look for something that says removable drive device and double click on it. Windows has a pic viewer. If this does not work, then you need the specific software for your camera that you can download for free from their website.

Just connected the USB cable camera at USB PC Port... turn on the camera and look as external device. Select the pic files and copy/paste on pc. Secure and confirm this action and files in pc and then delete pics on camera.

TRANSFERRING PHOTOS TO COMPUTER If your photos are stored on the memory card, then removethe memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader.Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of yourworking computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device oran external storage device, you can then open the folder on the memory card andcopy the photos to your computer.
1) Boot up you PC. 2) Connect you camera to your pc via the USB cable. 3) Switch on your camera and wait. Your PC should go through new device, new device is now available to access routine. It may even offer you a selection of programmes to look at your new device with. 4) Click on the folder option and with luck you are looking at icons for all the photos on your camera, its then just a case of copy and pasting to you pc.
If that doesn't work, off to the Sanyo website, follow links for support and downloads, download soft ware relating to your camera including user manual and installation drivers. Install them on your PC and you should be away.
You can try getting an SD card reader with a USB connection. The computer will treat this as another input. You should see a file folder with JPG files in it. This will be your pictures. Just do a "copy" to another file on your computer. Several companys make these card readers. 2 are Vargus and Lexar. I purchased one for my wife's camera the other day at Walmart. It was a "Targus High Speed SD/SDHC Card Reader/Writer". It was around $8.
Im sorry but I don't have software available for Panasonic cameras at this time, and we don't sell cables. If you go on ebay and search 'dmc-fs5 usb' you will find the cable you need for $5. Wish I could offer more help than that, sorry.
