Microsoft Windows Vista and Windows 7 does not include native drivers for the Del True Mobile 1450 USB Wireless adapter and there will be no 1450 USB Wireless adapter drivers available from Dell that are compatible with the Windows Vista or Winds 7 Operating System.

There will be no support for the Dell True Mobile 1450 USB Wireless adapter in Windows Vista or Windows 7.

The usb adapter wont start using vista

Vista does not provide downward compatibilty to hardware, rather it expects new certified drivers. Since your device is 801.11b it is obsolete (I know, still faster than cable internet). That's why the manufacturer is not supplying new Vista certified drivers. So Vista creates an UNKNOWN DEVICE that will not be able to function for anything at all. USB networking is the worst. Think about getting a non-USB access point that will provide you an RJ45 jack for your built-in NIC.

Need driver for Vista Ultimate

You may not find Vista drivers for this device.

Looking at the details of this device it shows supporting drivers for only:
Linux · Microsoft Windows 2000 · Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition · Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition · Microsoft Windows XP · Apple MacOS X

I have even checked Microsofts compatibility center:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-vista/Details.aspx?type=Hardware&p=USB-120%20Bluetooth%20Wireless%20NIC%20USB&v=ANYCOM%20Technologies%20AG&uid=CC3032&pf=17&pi=12&c=Networking&sc=Wireless%20Network%20Cards&vd=all&os=64-bit

This means you will have to buy a new usb device that can handle Vista. And with Vista falling by the waiste side I would plan for Win7 support as well.

I could not find any info on this company, nor have I heard of them so stick with a name you know and will be around.

I could not install driver in vista

It is suppose to be plug and play. Vista advantage is you need not install drivers for most if not all external hardwares.

Try letting the system locate the phone itself.
