SOURCE: Static on Telephone Base Unit

Try powercycling the basephone and remove the battery from the cordless phone, wait for 10 sec and then reconnect the battery, after that connect the power to base phone, probably it will fix the issue.if your phone have the option to change the channel, try changing the channel to 11 or 6.try and get it fixed.

SOURCE: adding handset to Panasonic KX-TGA542M phone. ? how to ?

I ordered a new kx-tg560m handset for my kx-tg5632 base unit, but the enclosed instructions for registering it with the base unit were wrong. Fortunately, I found the old quick setup guide in my files.

If you do not have the same base unit and handset, go to the URL:
http://www.panaxonic.com/RegisterYourHandset.

1. On the handset, press [MENU], then press [0][0]. The handset displays "Refer to manual to prepare base. Then press OK->"
2. On the base unit, press [SELECT] until the desired extension number [H1, H2, H3, or H4] is displayed on the base unit, then press and hold [CALL] until the CHARGE indicator flashes.
3. On the handset, press the [OK] softkey.

When the handset is off and sitting in the charger, the handset's extension is displayed in the upper right corner.

SOURCE: Screen gone blank

I had the same fault with the handset losing it's display, phone worked great but could not see to access internal phone directory.
To strip down the phone you need a very clean hard plastic/granite
work surface and a small philips screwdriver and a small flatblade screwdriver.
First of all remove the battery cover and the batteries, put them in safe spot on the work surface (Tip: take the top cover off an aerosol tin to use for holding the screws and small parts you remove)
Remove the front facia by gently teasing it away from the body of the phone, there are 2 plastic lugs either side of the battery compartment, ease them towad the edge of the casing to release the front facia, it should then unclip easily with your thumbnail.
Near the edge of the phone you will see 2 small screws, remove them carefully and set them aside, please note these are longer than two other screws you will encounter later in the disassembly.
Seperate the two main parts of the case from the battery compartment end of the phone and work towards the other end, there are two release points on the outside of the casing, gently insert a small driver into the recess whilst applying a small amount of lifting pressure between the two casing halves and it should spring open. (Note that the case hinges on a clip at the top edge of the phone which helps with its re-assembly later.)
Please be aware that the speaker wires are soldered to the main board and should not be disconnecetd or cut!!!
At the battery end of the phone is a small strip of white plastic tape covering two short screws, these hold the cradle charging contacts to the circuit board, remove them with the metal contacts and keep them safe.
With a little coaxing the rest of the phone should now come out of the casing. Be very carefl not to touch any of the gold contacts on the circuit board or the buttons may not work, you may gently clean these using a dry microfibre cloth. DO NOT SCRUB THEM, simply rub gently a few times.
Unclip the display holder andnote the earpice comes loose, this can be fed through the plastic holder byturning it sideways and pressing it through. DO Not damage wiring!
You should now see the tiny ribbon cable on the display itself, either side of it are a thin white plastic lug which can be slid carefully away from the edge of the display to release the cable. Remove cable gently and re-insert it back into the connector it came from, ensuring it is fully home and is perfectly aligned at right angles to the display, then carefully slide the retaining lugs back into place which will lock the cable back into place.
You can now re-assemble the phone, carefully.
It worked for me, hopefully it should for you unless the display is damaged prior to or during disassembly.

"Base no power" when registering panasonic KX-TGA750 phone to KX-TGA642 Panasonic phone.

The base is the one with the small antenna and it has no power to it, either the base is defective or the wall plug adapter is no good.

I have a panasonic kx tga652 phone it says base no power on several of my hand sets

That sounds like a handset model, from any of a range of DECT Plus systems?

Panasonic phone support is horrible, but they're pretty good about keeping manuals available on their Panasonic.com (may need to select USA) support site. Search the model number not of the handset, but the system found on the bottom of the main base unit.

There are enough versions and configurations that it's hard to guess specifics, but those series generally have the ability to power the base from a handset during power failures. There could be a need to reset something, or bad batteries or connectors in the handset in the base. Try swapping which handset is left in the base, and inspect the batteries in all handsets (sometimes removing them shows corrosion, or cleans a bad contact just from handling). Most of those use regular AAA NiMH batteries, and so they're pretty easy and cheap to replace if needed.

How to register a panasonic a kx-tga850e

Look on the base unit, not the charging cradle. The charging cradle merely plugs into a wall outlet for power. The base unit is the device that's hooked up to the phone line.

Hi phones suddenly stopped working and says 'base has no power' even though all plugged in OK... help?

If the base has no power, then it is either the power adapter or the base itself. Power adapter can be tested using a multimeter on Volts. Value must be within half volt from specifications. If the voltage from power adapter is correct, then the base is defective. In that case call the number on phone manual to get the part replaced, those parts are not repairable.

Panasonic KXTG2344 Phone 2,4ghz malfunction with microwave

You can change the channel used by the phone in the settings, but the better option is to make sure the charger base is nowhere near the microware.

Also, make sure that the microwave and the charger base are NOT plugged into the same outlet. I would even try a different outlet than you are using now as interference would definitely pass through the line.

Panasonic KX TG9331 no link to base Even standing next to the base, I cannot answer the call. Sometimes repeated pressing of the talk button lets me talk. Also, switching to speaker phone sometimes drops...

Sounds like a defective handset or base unit. Unplug the base unit from power and the telephone jack. Leave unplugged for 1 minute, this sometimes helps the phone to reset from a problem. Unplug the battery from the handset and plug back in after a minute also to help reset. Place your handset in the base unit for about 1 minute to allow the handset to link up with the base unit. If this doesn't work you may have a defective phone. Contact Panasonic support for further information if this does not work.
