The toucscreen isnt working

The camera seems to be fine in every aspect but when i try to look my pictures or to get to the menu or any function that requires touching the screen when i touch it, a small hand with the pencil appears on the corner with the sign "OFF" like if the toucscreen had some hold, or lock function. but i cant use it. all the buttons on the hardware works perfectly but the screen is locked

I have a Panasonic DMC-LX2 digital camera, I'm based in the UK. Has worked fine for a couple of years, but 2 weeks ago, when powered up, none of the buttons work. Screen is illuminated, lens emerges OK,...

I just got identical situation today, and I have no clue at all. However, I figure that the camera is actually working busy like someone is holding the "UP" button continuously. To see this, power on your camera at any mode except the "Scene mode". After it's on, turn the mode select knob to "Scene mode". I saw my camera menu flashing like crazy. When you press any button, the menu should stop running. But once you don't press the button, the menu start running again.
Please let me know if you have any update.

Adjust resolution on lumix dmc-tz3

Select PICT.SIZE from the REC menu. Depending on the aspect ratio, you can choose from 0.3MP to 7MP. For full details, refer to the "Using REC menu" in the manual (page 52 in my copy).

i beleive that your issue is a setting in the program you are using to view the video. the camera will never skew a video. you may want to change the aspect ratio in the camera to match your viewer, but you should at least be able to set the viewer to maintain aspect ratios on video viewing. try viewing the videos with a different program. i.e. if you are using windows media player, try it with quicktime and see what happens. good luck

i know this is late, but my camera had the same problem.
1. If you go in the setup menu.
2. Push the right button once and scroll down to the menu that says format.
3. It will ask you if you want to erase all data.
4. Select No and everything should be fine.

Hello HUMAN,
If u r using a memory card please take out the memory card and then check if it is working fine.If it is then plz use a different card which is compatible with the camera. If its still not working then try resetting the camera. That is take out the batteries and put them back in.And after all this if its still not working then u will have to get the camera serviced.

Camera problem

Hey, i have had the same problem for over a year. My camera also wasn't briefly showing me the pictures i took right after taking the picture like it used to. Last night i found the "Quick View" function was turned off in the menu (up arrow) of the camera, so i turned it back on. Today i tried the zoom function (i haven't tried it in a year) and IT WORKED!! So i think they are linked somehow.

So try going to your menu (up arrow) then scroll down until it goes to the next page of the menu. Select "Quick View" and turn it on. Then your zoom might work. It worked for me, but i don't know if mine is an isolated incedent.

Try it and see.
