Lifefitness treadmill belt sticks even though wax bag is full

It may not be sticking, but instead slipping on the front roller. You can resolve this by simply tightening the running belt. This adjustment will be done by using the rear roller.

Belt sticking

LUBE inmediatel the deck belt, maybe you have a WORN deck belt. You must lube the treadmills after 5 hours of use, is the maintenance normal.otherwise you will the problem now you have.
2) LUBE the roller bearing too.
3) test the input voltage motor, if there are the motor need repair.
4) test the output voltage board, for input voltage motor, if there are NOT the board is faulty. See my personal TIPS for troubleshotting motor.

I have a pro form treadmill and it seems like the belt is sticking, its about 14 yrs old. I think I might need to replace the belt

The most common cause of belt sticking or "slippage" is lack of lubrication. Most treadmill belts use lubrication on the underside of the belt to reduce friction between the belt and the platform. This helps the treadmill glide along smoothly under the weight of a person. If your belt is lacking in lubrication, it can catch on the treadmill platform. Apply lubrication every few months to the underside of the belt to prevent this from occurring.

A petroleum or silicone based lubricant is recommended, and most easily applied in a spray can. Simply lift up the belt about midway along the platform and spray a small amount of lubricant underneath from about the middle of the platform width to the closest edge. Repeat from the other side. Apply lubricant can be messy.

Next, turn on the treadmill and let it run for a minute, then check if the belt still sticks. A little more lubricant may be necessary.

If you have found this helpful, please take a moment to give me four thumbs up.

Treadmill slowing down and sticking when you put your weight on it manual says to try leveling screws but doesnt tell you where to find themalso tried oiling but this did no good

Check between belt an deck for heavy wear. (coating worn off deck or belt unraveling) Decks can be flipped usually, worn belts should be replaced. If not check belt tension. Tension adjustment bolts are at rear end caps behind tail roller. If you can step on it and stop striding belt it very well may need a tension adjustment. Also would verify it is striding belt that is stopping. Motor drive belts can cause similar symptoms. {Check Manufacturer For Proper Belt/Deck Lube ie. Wax}

Whilst jogging hands free the treadmill belt sticks why would this happen

you need to lubricate the belt every 6 months or so. to do this lift up the belt and squirt some lubricant onto the belt board(not the rollers), do this on the left and right hand side.
you may also need to tighten the belt. this is normally done with an allen key, look at the end of the treadmill as if you were to walk onto it, and there should be a plastic cover on each side. look in here and you should see an allen key type bolt. turn each bolt one full turn. this will tighten the belt and stop it sticking.
