SOURCE: installing a new kyocera TASKalfa 250ci and i got

C3100 Scanner carriage problem

• The home position is not correct when the power is turned on or copying the document placed on the contact glass.
Poor contact of the connector terminals.
Defective scanner home position switch.
Defective engine PCB.
Defective scanner motor.
This copier may need a service adjustment. The problem could be something as simple as a switch not being in home position. Please troubleshoot accordingly. Unplug device when troubleshooting. You should also troubleshoot it by looking to see if anything is blocking or stuck causing the carriage to not go into position.

C3300 error in kyocera taskalfa 820

I have actually discovered another cause of the C3300 error on Taskalfa machines .. Mainly the 250ci - 552ci (300ci, 400ci included) .. If you look at the mirror assembly there are 4 plastic pads that glide on the rails. I discovered 2 on the left side damaged causing the mirror assembly to sit at a slight angle .. Got these replaced and it works great!! I hope this helps!!!
