Screen black

My moniter was working fine, when I came back to it the screen was entirely black. I turned computer off and on and could hear the computer coming on but moniter screen still black My monitor has had no problems and then it just went black when I was playing on Pogo last night. I have not been able to get it to come back on at all not even the green power light. Mine is a 17 inch Monitor.
