Horizontal deflection is not working in TV and defective Fly-back Transformer or Horizontal Output Transistor can be cause of this symptoms. TV is in safety mode so you cant get picture and sound.

WEGA KP51WS520 HDTV COLOUR REAR VIDEO PROJECTOR TV, MANUFACTURED IN AUGUST 2004. WITH NO SOUND, BUT GREAT PICTURE QUALITY

Any issue with no sound are all going to be centered on the A board since all audio processing is on the A board. It could be one of many items on that board, often its better to just replace the A board. They are available from www.tvrepairworld.com if you want to replace the A Board.

Picture went out and red light on bottom panel saying Lamp was flashing....bought new lamp...replaced....no picture...lamp light still flashing

Hi, sorry about that. I hate that to when you buy something and it doesn't fix you problem. It is either your lamp ballast board or your power board. If you take the back cover off and turn your TV on listen to hear if you hear your ballast board fire up. The lamp looking at the back of the TV with the cover off is located to the left side. You should listen there to see if you heat anything and if not then more than likely its your power supply board that probably got zap but a surge.
Thanks for using Fixya and please rate..

This tv will not power on at all. It suddenly stopped working and now when I push power on unit or on remote nothing happens. No Picture, No Sound, no lights on panel, NOTHING?

You might need an assistance of an expert that has the right tool to check the components. Here are the things that you need to check:

Check the DM board - if the DM board seems to be okay
then, check the power supply board. One of these two boards is defective.

Have a great day!

Projection TV, Sound but no Picture

If this Tv is a model year 1996 or 1998, It is quite possible your vertical IC needs resoldered. It is located on the small signal board. This board [quite large anyway] is the board on the left. I don't know the location off hand. The IC has seven pins and located on a heatsink, It is a TDA series. Resolder any and all grounds you see. May as well get the Large Signal board [On the right] resoldered. The other problem would be the P I P board, a small board standing up, that can be removed and replaced. But try the earlier first. This is tedious, but will produce results.

Faulty TV, no picture but sound present

Sorry can't solve the problem... yet. But I have exactly the same problem with the same TV. Sound but no pic, and a toko inverter board that has four 4511GH components that look like they have been getting too hot. I get a ticking noise from the power board when it is running, and that dissapears if I run it without the inverter board attached. Did you get anywhere with the fix? I am not an expert so don't know if it is as simple as replacing these four components althogh its the one between CN6 and CN7 that looks worst. Any help?

Thanks.
