Question about SanDisk Sansa m240 MP3 Player
My PC isn't seeing my player, it says something about MTP device. I updated my windows media player before that it didn't see it at all. In the window of the player it has MIP, maybe this is the problem. Basically I am unable to copy any songs off of my hard drive onto my player.
Please refer to the Sansa Support website
You should have it set to MTP when using it with any of the supported subscription music services.
Otherwise, you should have it set to MSC, which is the normal USB mode for storage devices.
Enabling MSC mode on your Sansa player
1. Remove the battery from the player.
2. Slide the hold switch to the locked position by sliding the switch on the bottom edge of the player away from the microphone until you see the orange indicator.
3. Connect the player to the PC.
