Question about Roper RAX7244KQ Top Load Washer
Dial was turned to the left by a child, now all cycles are messed up and leaves water in washer after spin cycle.
Usually turning the knob to the left will only unscrew the timer knob. If someone has actually turned the timer left it is possible for the contacts inside the timer to bend causing lots of different problems. In this case the timer would need to be replaced. The part number is #3953146
The retail on the part is $98.23 and I do have these available for shipping. I can usually have this at your home anywhere in the United States within 1-2 days. I can ship for no extra charge. One other thing to consider before replacing. It is possible for a item like a child sock to be lodged in the pump and that would cause the water to pump out slowly and cause the problems you describe. I would check the pump first, then consider the timer. You can gain access to the pump by removing the cabinet to the washer. To do this you will see two phillips screws on the back left and right of the control panel., remove these screws and the control panel will flip up, then you can remove the clamps on the left and right sides that hold the cabinet to the back panel. Unplug the lid switch and tilt the cabinet forward and slide it forward. You will then see the pump directly under the tub held on the motor with two clamps. Remove the clamps and hoses but be ready to catch the water in a tub or get a heavy trash bag. Once removed check the pump for any obstructions. Please let me know if this helps and dont forget to rate me.
