Well P it sounds like your hoop might be bent or at least the pins that go into the arm see if you can bend them out a bit also does this happien with all sizes of hoops?
Also for the Guest make sure that your needle isn't bent better yet just change the needle also take your bobbin out and flip it the other way and see if it still comes through hope this helps you guys

My xl400 singer embroidery carriage has stopped working. Will not move at all when machine is turned on. Also keep getting msg error about hoop size but no hoop attached.

The switch for "sew" or "embroidery" must first be in the "embroidery" position.
Make sure the connections are very firmly pushed in.
If it still isn't functional it may require some small motors to be replaced. The motors are what makes the hoop move.

When I install embroidery hoop light keeps blinking n saying wrong hoop size looked it up n it's saying malfunction

Ok, there are a couple of possibilities, and I'm going to include an image. I"m not sure whether you're trying to use the small or large hoop, but the first thing you should try is turn off the machine, take the hoop off entirely, then turn on the machine without anything and let it reset to its default position, which will be the center. If it has a problem there, make sure the needle it at its highest position.

Next, put the large hoop on, bring up a design, (preferably a design that came with your machine--there are sample designs in the \Library directory where the program is--that's generally in c:\program files\futuraquartet--and is designed for the hoop you're trying to use, and transmit to machine. If it tells you the hoop is the wrong size, download a patch from www.futura-support.com. If it STILL tells you you have the wrong size, reseat your USB cable into the machine and tape it in place with masking or duct tape.

The third possibility--and the one pictured in the photo I'm going to attach--is there is a tab on your hoop which indicates the hoop size, and your TAB may be off. It needs to be dead center of the sensor, which is also pictured. A while ago a BUNCH of hoops were manufactured with the tabs slightly off, and if it's off, your machine can't read the size. What generally happens there, though, is it will indicate that there is NO hoop attached, rather than the wrong size.

You can see the sensors--they're inside the arm where you put your hoop, and they're not covered up. Below it are the large hoop (top), and small hoop (bottom). The hoop tabs have to match up to the sensors exactly, and you'll be able to see if it doesn't by matching up the notch in the hoop that matches the catch in the embroidery arm.

Futura xl 400

There are a couple of things to check. First, check to make sure that your machine is on a solid flat and level surface. If the surface is even slightly sagging, your connectors may not be making a complete connection.

Next, you cannot put your small hoop on the machine and turn it on; it will not allow the machine to go to its default position. Turn it on without any hoop attached.

Next, take a look inside the unit where you slide in the hoop. About midway up, you will see three black rectangles in a row; those are the hoop sensors. Those sensors have little plastic "feelers" sticking out to touch a corresponding tab on the hoop to indicated which size of hoop is attached. You can see them if you look sideways. If one or more of those feelers is not sticking straight out, it will cause this problem. GENTLY run your finger over them (you don't want them to break), and make sure that they ARE sticking straight out.

Singer Quantum XL 6000 embroidery unit keeps saying the embroidery hoop is loose or not installed. There is some problem with the electronic contacts and the embroidery hoop. Can't get any help.

Try push in and push out your hoop several times into the carriage, then if the problem is still there, most likely the carriage hoop lock sensor is faulty.

My Husqvarna designer SE embroidery unit keeps giving an error message "install hoop correctly". I've checked everything but can't get around the message. can anybody help ,?

You have probably got the machine set to use a different size hoop. Click on the hoop icon and change it to the size you are using. Hope this helps you.

Jumbo hoop

I assume you mean the clips that attach the hoop to the embroidery unit. You just hold the hoop by means of the two clips, with a thumb and other finger on the outside of each clip - pressing them together allows the hoop to be put onto the two clips on the Y arm of the embroidery unit. When you release the spring pressure, the hoop should be retained in place on the Y arm.

Machine not sensing embroidery frame

Depending on your model of machine this problem is solved by replacing the hoop attachment unit on the hooping arm. (hoop sensor cable is not properly welded)

Machine says that I don't have an embroidery hoop attached, but I do.

First turn off and disconnect embroidery unit and hoop from the machine. Plug machine back in and connect the embroidery unit only and turn the machine on. Reattach the hoop and test to make sure it's secure. Your hoop might not have been attached snuggly enough or you might need to put on the small hoop.

Singer Quantum Futura CE-200 Problem

My machine did the same thing. I had several frustrated nights ans then it just started to work. Some suggestions that I had was that there may be dust where the units connect. Not sure what I did, but it worked.
