    The television does have power to it, but no picture or sound. The RED led lights up when the power is on, however there is no picture. Now the screen has a red tint to it also. Any suggestions?

In the absence of sound and video, I post the following suggestion:
If it just fails to turn on, the main power supply is probably at fault and without some technical background and a couple of test instruments, you will not be able to do the repair yourself.
What you can do though is; unplug the set, let it stand overnight or at least several hours, remove the back panel and look for a separate board with mostly larger components on it; it will have a ferrite core transformer on it and several larger capacitors which are cylindrical and mounted vertically to the board.

Before touching anything inside, especially on that board, allow several hours to be safe since the larger capacitors can hold a painful voltage charge for some hours.

If you see signs of overheating such as discoloration of the board material, it may not be repairable but if you can find a part number on the board, you might be able to buy the power supply and install it yourself.
If there are no signs of heat damage to the board, there may be companies offering to repair it as a subassembly instead of repairing the whole set which could be much more expensive.
If you choose to replace or have it done, the power supply still may not be at fault since most are capable of switching on and off if a downstream problem is causing an overload.

    It may still be a power supply problem but the fact that you have some kind of light from the screen makes the problem more difficult to diagnose.
    All of our consumer stuff has supplies with multiple outputs and the output that services the chain of video and audio circuits could fail and still allow some kind of screen activity.
    Doing a search on the model number showed results that indicate that it is a problematic set that is showing a variety of problems, unfortunate since I kind of favor DLP sets.

    Repair is apparently not cheap since eBay currently has a listing including four of them with various problems for a price of $800 for the group of model 60PP9202;

    4 Philips DLP sets

I had the same problem and my local repair guy soldered a defective sensor so that it goes around that problem. I also had to buy a new bulb. Now my picture is "cloudy" and the repairman has no idea why. I am waiting for them to call back on it.
