Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Appreciate the direct "Ask Me".

Initially, the 14 seconds interval is significant. This is indicative that whatever fault it is, it is coupled to a time-based circuitry. The time-based circuitry need not be complicated. it can actually be a simple resistor/capacitor network. The capacitor takes a certain amount of time to charge and then discharge (14 seconds, 'whoomp'). Having said this, then the foremost suspect would be an electrolytic capacitor, probably low value (1~4.7uF), probably a coupler/decoupler. Of course the capacitor serving other functions could very well be the culprit as well.

Corrective measure would entail, identifying/determining which capacitor and replacement. Tedious as it may sound, each capacitor would then have to be tested for capacitance and leakage out of circuit or at least 1 leg un-soldered.

Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

Pls be informed that due to my current rank and rating, even a Helpful would be detrimental to my status. Should this solution not address your concern, it would be appreciated if you could just not rate it at all. Cheers.

Sound Still Play through Speakers when Headset Connected

Most computers will only pair this earpiece as a headset for voice calls. You need to make sure the headset is paired with your device as both a phone headset and media headset. Check your settings on your computer or smartphone to make sure it is paired properly to play media sound.

Hi, Does it have a 32 bit installer or 64 bit? Why wont microsoft office programs accept and work when I enter the product key? Not recognized comes back. Thanks for your help. Andrew Shortland

If the product key you got when you purchase MS Office doesn't work, then contact MS and explain it to them. Generally you can install MS Office on only one computer unless you bought the multi-computer version which costs more.

My Altec lansing multi media ada 745 just stopped working all of a sudden. It doesn't work for all media ie. ipod, tv, computer. We can hardly hear it. I changed the fuse but it still doesn't work. Wh

unplug the power from the speakers, reseat the all the connections for the satellite speakers, ensure the power switch on both the subwoofer and the Right Front Speaker are in the ON position.

If that doesn't resolve the issue, then you are most likely going to need to replace the speakers, as the fuse is the only serviceable componet.

Ok Did you have sound on your previous speakers, if not, check your hardware manager and make sure you have the driver installed. You can check by going to open your volume control in the asseries from your start button.

Uninstall and reinstall the driver.

you go to device manager ->sound card-> right lick uninstall -> refresh-> it should auto find and install.

Good luck let me know whats up

Speakers

Hi c-king,

Ah, cavaet emptor the dreaded used computer. I'm going to assume that it had speakers that worked in it's previous life. Check all cable connections, make sure system is not muted, speaker control knob is on. In windows, most editions, follow: start, control panel, sounds and audio devices, volume tab-speaker settings-advanced settings. Here you can configure and choose your speaker setup(it may be set at headphones) i.e. 5.1, 7.1 etc.. Also check the audio tab to make sure you have a digital audio device installed i.e. Sigma Tel Audio or what ever is installed in your computer. I hope this helps a little, if not, hit me back, we have other options i.e. new audio drivers.

Thanks for using FixYa.com

I have a SA-203 receiver. I am trying to hook it up to my computer to record my LPs. I have run a stereo cord from the headphone jack to my "line in" on the PC. When I play anything (stereo,...

I did hook up my PC to my SA-203 successfully. I noticed the amplification was weakest when I hooked up through the "phono" connection but in all cases both speakers worked. Be certain you have plugged in the cables completely and the contact points are clean. If you open your Technics SA-203 you will see it is apparently not very complicated so if the connections are the problem you can probably even fix it yourself. Go to Radio Shack online as it is unlikely the sales help knows s**t about there electronics part bins and probably neither will the manager. But once again, I really believe you just need to fiddle with the plug at the "phones" connection on your receiver. Good Luck and sorry I took so long.

Shark 75160HS 2.1 Multi media speaker system

HEADPHONES AND SPEAKERS Hi There Try this, CONNECTION Check your connections on Rear part of your PC. Lime is for Sound Out usually a speaker, Pink is for Mic, Blue for Audio Input. VOLUME Try Adjusting the vlume on your PC first. Check the volume on the Headphone too if there is one. CLEANING Using a dump clothe. Wipe the plugs and jacks with a twisting motion. WIRELESS\BLUETOOTH Check your battery if it is drained. Try replacing them with a new one or charge them if they are rechargables. If all fails then You may have a Sound Card problem. Using a spare Speaker or Headphone check it if it works. If its not then its Defective and needs replacement. If its working then your Speakers or Headphones are defective. Try fixing them by cleaning or checking the Continuity of its cables using a analog Multi tester. Hope This helps ======================= If you are having trouble with Newly bought items then return them and demand a replacement or a refund! You may have purchased a reconditioned\repaired\factory defect product.
