Its this compaq laptop.when i tried installing wireless card,i installed the cd that came with it will still not find the driver.i also tried installing this plug and play bluetooth adapter ,it gave the same problem ,but it installed on another system
I f you have the original cd, take a time and don't select the option "let windows find the file"
Select.....
Specify a Location.
Click Browse.
Browse the folder in your CD (provided by the manufacturer)
Open the folders (all of them to find the correct drive) and choose the driver for your wireless card.
The driver Is inside for sure.(If you have the right cd)
OK.
Another tip is check it out on the cd if you have some Setup.exe to run the application.
In that case, double click on Setup exe.

thanks so much.i ll try that right away.initially i was using a LINKSYS card.the sytem then malfuntioned and i had to format it ,through that i lost the installation file in the PROGRAM.this new one will not install,and when iput the old one the system hangs
