    Thanks, Mark,

I have the same problem, but when I use your solution, it sets the pre-set to zero. Anything else I can try? Thanks!

    Thanks, Mark,

    Here is the whole story:

When programming the sales tax, I somehow ended up with $50.02 as a preset for the cash button. When I turn the key to program, hit 0 and the cash button, then sub-total. I did this, but it seems to have changed the pre-set to zero instead of eliminating it. Now I get “Digit or amount limitation over” (E037). the manual tells me what the error means, but isn't much help for correcting it! Thanks.

    Hi TimBeth.
That is what it is supposed to do as I was trying to remove a preset tender. This means you must have a different problem. try to describe exactly what happens as you make the sale, and I'll try to help

Did you sort the problem?
Try pressing SUBTOTAL then CASH. If that doesn't work, can you finish the sale with a different payment type such as credit? If so, you have probably changed the status of the cash button accidentally during programming.

Casio te-2400 cash register- making transactions

Try this: Turn key to program mode 0 CASH SUBTOTAL 3 SUBTOTAL 0 CASH SUBTOTAL
This should remove the preset amount from the CASH button. Now it should work normally when finishing the sale.
Now turn back to REG mode when entering the price, DO NOT use a decimal, so type 2000 for 20 dollars. Now press a PLU (item) button. SUBTOTAL Type the amount received (NO DECIMAL, so 5000 for 50 dollars) Press CASH Change should be displayed, and drawer open

Hi.
It sounds like this machine has not had it's system options set fully by your dealer.
When you mention categories, are you talking about the label associated with each item button on the keyboard or internal groups. It will depend upon the way your dealer set it up for you.
