Hello ,your engine is a tecumseh HMSK90-156525D, Sounds like carb. may need adjusting. Take the heat box off to expose carb. the heat box is the metal box surrounding the caeb., there should be 2 adjustment screws- 1 on the bottom of the bowl and 1 on the side of the carb just above the edge of the bowl ( depending how the carb sets off the engine - if the carb comes straight out it will be on the side facing towards the front of the snow blower or if it goes towards the handles then standing other side of the snow blower the screw will be facing you), turn both screws in til they just bottom out the turn them out 1 1/4 turns out then start the machine. While the machine is running at low idle turn the screw on the side of the carb. in (clockwise) a little at a time listening for the engine to start to rev up and then start to rev down, bog or studder then turn back slightly to bring idle back up. Once the idle is up then the screw on the very top of the carb. turn that out to lower idle to a normal idle. Repeat those adjustments till you cant get the idle to go up anymore. Now for the screw on the bottom of the bowl- move the throttle up to max and turn the screw in till you hear it rev up higher and starts to bog or sputter then turn it back slightly to bring the high rev to a smooth rev. That should take care of it. If it does not solve it then the carb may need cleaning then the adjustments done again. If you need more help on this please feel free to ask. Sometimes you have to do process of elimination and you start with the easiest first. Also the adjustments should help with the carbon build up on the plug.692509.pdf (application/pdf Object)
i have included the manual to give you a good understanding of the carb, page 7 to 25, hope this helps, don't forget the 4 thumbs up,any comments welcome, thank you.00

Your carburetor needs cleaned. It is dirty/has debris in it. If it has a bowl that is. If it has a diaphram (carburetor mounted on the fuel tank), replace the diaphram. They go bad.

I hope this helps get you going.

2 cycle engine speeds up then stalls

1 turn out is approximate setting fo H and L screws...once running adjust H screw so that it is just rich at full throttle (4 stroking then 2 stroking with out changing screw) once thats right adjust L screw at idle till it starts to pick up speed then just back off 1/8 of turn ....then you can adjust tapered screw to nice idle....if this fails you have carby problem

Craftsman 2 cycle blower stalls.

Hello,

Most Probably the problem lies in the adjustment of the carburettor. There are two needles in the carb one for lowend adjustment and one for high end adjustment. Your lowend adjustment seems fine. The highend needle needs to be adjusted. Following are some very detailed procedures for adjusting these types of carbs

If your machine has a carb other than a "Walbro" dont worry the procedures are same. I am sure if your engine has not completed its life span this will solve your problem.

ONAN GENERATOR STARTS THEN ONLY RUNS WITH CHOKE ON

Hi,
This sounds like a problem with fuel settings or dirt in the jet.
If you can find the carb adjustment screws, with it runing on full choke - screw it in fully untill it stalls, then back out to original position, then restart.
Take off choke and adjust setting untill it runs well when warm with choke fully out.
You can then try and make it run leaner without stalling.

dirty gas. the fuel bowl likely has junk in it which plugs the jets as soon as it starts. you may get luck just emptying the carb bowl but a good carb clean and new gas will do the trick. (dump out the old gas

I have a Ryobi trimmer and when I start it will not stay on

Here was my solution:
I was having problems with my ryobi cs30 weedeater also. It would start up fine on full choke, but i could not give it more than half throttle or ever take the choke off or it would stall out. I replaced fuel mixture, spark plug, spark arrestor/exhaust, fuel lines, cleaned carb, and still nothing! I was considering getting a better machine. Then i decided to play with the carb adjustments.(on my cs-30, they are two screws on the carb that have a "L" and "H" next to them) I dont think you can get the specialty tool for adjusting the carb unless you are a repair tech, so i just took a Dremmel tool with the circular cut-off wheel to the head of the specialty screws and made them into "flat-head" screws so i could adjust them with a regular screwdriver (if you dont have a dremmel too, get one!) (As i was cutting into the head of the screws, i also cut into the casing protecting the head of the screws that was in the way, this does not cause any damage to the unit, that casing is only there to keep "un-certified" people from adjusting it for themselves.)
Now to the easy part: The "L" screw adjusts the idle fuel mixture and the "H" screw adjusts the full throttle fuel mixture. turning the screws clockwise make the machine run leaner (less fuel) and counter clockwise makes it run richer (more fuel).
-I started out by turning each screw 1/2 turn counter clockwise and started it up, then as it was idling, i started adjusting the "L" screw as i was moving the choke position to run, after a few full turns counter clockwise of the "L" screw, it was idling perfectly in the run position, then i did the same thing the the "H" screw while holding down the throttle and i got it to run perfectly in the run position. Now it is running way better than it ever has. I hope this helps everyone.
Good Luck!
