Question about HP DeskJet 932c InkJet Printer

1 Answer

HP deskjet 932C

I changed the ink cartridge and the next day or so I was moving the printer to clean around it and it was sitting in a pile of ink. I tried to clean what I could see but when I picked it up ink was acutally dripping from the bottom of the printer. When I looked inside on the right side there was globs on ink just sitting there. Does anyone know how to clean this out so it will work or should I just get another printer? Thanks.

If you hose it outside it will be a mess and will take an hour. A wet circuit board will need complete drying for a day and sometimes require to short out the capacitors to clear fault memory for power up.
Many little motors in there don't like to get wet.

Our hp deskjet 932C printer is leaking ink. What

You could carefully clean this as follows:
put the printer on some newspaper to avoid further spills.
Turn on the printer, then open the lid to allow the carriage to move to the center.
Now unplug the printer, then gently move the carriage to the left and out of the way.
You should now have limited access to the spittoon area.
You can clean this area by carefully scooping out the ***** of ink with a plastic spoon. (Be careful not to drop ink sludge on your printer, desk, carpet or clothing.)
Once most of the ink has been removed then use a crumpled paper towel to soak up the ink in the bottom of the service station.
It may take several rounds of this to clean up the service station.
It is not necessary to completely clean the service station, just get the majority of the ink out.
Once this has been completed you could turn the printer up and clean the bottom area of the printer. Do not tip up the printer before the service station has been cleaned or you are likely to create a mess....

It acts likes it's printing, but nothing is on the pages HP Deskjet 932c

Sounds like a defective ink cartridge. See if you have a separate print head you can replace if not sounds like a whole new cartridge.
Assuming you have checked the obvious darkness settings.

The left red light is flashing, but the printer has new ink. carson

Hi:
Often these printers are finiky when you remove and install the cartridges. If you are getting the red light, you need to remove both cartridges, re clean the contact strip on the back of the cartridges with a paper towel , dampened only with water, then make sure they are dry. Next, gently brush the contacts that are on the back side of where the ink cartridges mount. I use an old toothbrush. Remember the GENTLE part! Re assemble the ink cartridges in the printer, and hope for the best!

My printer has an almost full black cartridge but will not print.

Check the ink lines, the printer head might be clogged, If thats not fixing anything then check your printer settings on the computer and remove the color option. Changing it to black and white can somtimes just be from color, not just black.

Hp 932c ink leaking

The manual from HP explains how to clean print cartridges and more. Hope this has what you mean. If you're cleaning the rollers, use DENATURED (not rubbing) alcohol.

With the cover off, there are little white gears down on the right bottom that activate a ink plug tray.
Lid-open sensor is a gray tab on the lid that interrupts a black optic sensor on the circuit board. If your printer gets wet and no power up, unplug printer and short the two capacitors on the smaller circuit board to clear internal printer fault memory. Insulate yourself, small voltage in there even unplugged.

Not printing color

Loks like there is a "well" under the "docked" position of the heads (at the right end of the unit, facing it - under the control buttons.) In my unit, ink had built up in this well to the point that some of the mechanical bits were scraping the top of the built-up ink pile. After I carefully removed about two TootsieRoll's-worth of old dried ink with a long scewdriver (using a flashlight to illuminate the area), the color printing seemed to be doing better. Can't tell yet if this has completely resolved the problem, as I have not yet printed enough pages to prove the point...
