No picture - then picture is black and white w/ a split screen?????
MY HUSBAND WAS WATCHING TV AND THEN CHANGED THE CHANNEL. THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN NO PICTURE. I READ SEVERAL TROUBLESHOOTING THREADS AND HELD THE POWER BUTTON ON THE SIDE OF THE TV. THIS POWERED IT DOWN AND THEN BACK ON. NOW WHEN THE PICTURE COMES UP ITS BLACK AND WHITE (WHILE PLAYING A COLORED MOVIE) IT IS ALSO A SPLIT SCREEN. ANY SUGGESTIONS??? PLEASE HELP!!

When you say messed up do you mean the convergence is out? please explain a little more detail as to what you are seeing. Also when its messed up if you press the menu button on the remote does the menu look good?
Watching two separate tv channels at the same
time requires two tv channel sources,i.e. a split
of some kind. For instance,the cable coming in thru the wall is split-half to tv or vcr/dvd combo
and then to tv,the other half to cable box,then out to tv.If what I described fails,then you may have an actual tv failure.PIP video is generally a separate circuit from standard video.An expert tech w/service literature should be able to help.

What you may have needed to do was adjust the
green & blue crt screens to match the red.
Go into your picture menu adjust, turn color
all the way down to a black & white px. Now
adjust each crt screen so that you end up with
a true black & white px. Then adjust each
focus control to get a sharp px, have your
tv on a channel like the home shopping
network so you can adjust each crt focus
one at a time for clarity by cover the other
2 up. Then go back into picure adjust & turn color ahlf way up, you should see a better
