Question about HP Photosmart R927 Digital Camera

1 Answer

This thing recorded video without audio.

I recorded four important videos today. Only one of them recorded with audio; the others have video without audio. I recorded them on my SD card and uploaded the files to my computer; they have no audio. Raising the dB and pan levels completely produces a high-pitched noise.

I doubt it, but is there anyway the audio of these files can be restored?

Please, I seriously need this audio.

No, sorry. This camera has a small glitch where it occasionally records video without sound, especially if it has been on for a while. In order to fix this, you can simply turn the camera off and on when it is recording without sound.

Flip video camcorder is the newly released pocket-sized camcorder by Pure Digital Technologies, a company bought by Cisco Systems in March of 2009. Till today, four variants of Flip videos has been released including Flip Ultra, Flip Ultra HD, Flip Video Mino and Flip Video Mino HD.

Since Flip video camcorder usually capture videos in MP4 or H.264 file format, it is sometimes impossible for users who want to make their recorded video for other means. For example, they are wondering how to put the recorded video on their favourite mobile phones.

Video file formats used by mobile phone
There are a handful of common formats used for mobile phones like 3GP (the most commonly used mobile phone format), Flash Lite (a streamlined version of Flash developed specially for mobile phones and portable devices that is designed by an FLV extension), MPEG-4 (a good video sharing format for mobile phone, and also commonly used for online video).

Besides, it can extract audio tracks from video files and save as MP3, AAC, AC3, AIFF, WAV, WMV audio files as well.

Mac Flip video to Mobile Phone converter is not only a professional Flip video player and converter, but also an excellent Flip video editing tool. Just take it for your personal Flip video editing, for example, you can cut your Flip video for a specific length for converting by Trim, adjust the right aspect ratio and resolution for your mobile phone by Crop and Settings separately, apply special effect to make your Flip video more artistic by Effect. Windows 7 download for vivitarDVR-390H

Win 7 has the vast majorly of the drivers needed by devices today. Loading of proprietary drivers (from the manufactures) is pretty much a thing of the past. I assume that you have connected the camera and it is not recognized by your PC.

I have done an extensive search and even Vivitar has nothing in their archives about the DVR-390H. I tried a few sites that distribute off the wall drivers without any luck. I even tried to find drivers for other versions of Windows, again without any luck.

It appears that this camera was first sold in 2004, which is very old for electronic devices (these days). It records in MP3 which is now the standard for audio, video is either MP4, or MP5 (for HD). That could be one of the reasons that all support seems to have been discontinued.

Sorry I could not give you a fix action, best of luck!

Losing Audio Halfway Through Recording

The audio failure sounds more like a VHS player failure than a DVD software/recorder failure. Both audio and video are transferred at the same time to the DVD, and as long as the DVD recorder is working, that's really all there is. I would check the VHS player and confirm that the sound actually works all the way through.

Deleted files from Olmpus recorder

Those voice recordings can be recovered provided not overwritten(if you keep taken more records, then possible). But do not be that worried as it is not so easy to be overwritten, you can try some audio recovery software to get them recovered. Here are some for your option. Both programs can also recover videos and photos.

Photo Audio Video Recovery (for Windows)
Mac Photo Audio Video Recovery (for Mac OS X)

Note: Before your audios are recovered, do not attempt to save more files.

No sound after recording from external input

Well, my video camera has separate hookups for the video, and the audio. The audio is a stereo mini-jack (I think that's what it's called) - and I use a cable that has the mini plug on one end, and a white and red RCA plug on the other end for each channel. Perhaps yours is the same?
