That was not the part number shown on the parts diagram at servicenet.dewalt.com. The tool is from the 1970s and is obsolete. I doubt you will be able to find a switch for it.

Makita LXDT04 Impact Driver Sparks coming out of it

It could be that your brushes (PN CB440) are worn down so much that they can't make full contact with the armature or the armature (PN 619247-1) has a short in it causing excessive arcing. This would be evident by excessive burning or pitting on the commutator where the brushes make contact or missing sections of the commutator..

Makita impact driver wobble

Many of my customers that use this tool heavily have the same problem. It's usually the Hammer Case (PN 154590-6). The nose if the case is the bushing that holds the anvil in place and sometimes wears out of round. Rarely the anvil (PN 324432-0) wears where it passes through the hammer case so check that also.

Makita BHP452ZW light works but no drill power

Your most likely problem is the switch (PN 650583-6). When they go bad they will let power go to the LED light but it won't get to the motor. With a multi-meter, check the power going into the switch and coming out to the motor. If 18 volts are getting through to the motor then you may have armature (PN 619198-8) issues.

Dcd985 reverse switch won't work

The switch (PN: N089938) for your drill costs between $75 & $80, so:
If by "brand new, just out of the box" you mean you just bought it, bring it back to where you got it and exchange it or get your money back.
If by "brand new, just out of the box" you mean you bought it, it sat somewhere for some time and you're just now using it, check to see if it's still under warranty so you can get it fixed through that.
If it's out of warranty, you'll have to buy a switch to fix it. They're available on sites like www.ereplacementparts.com.

I have a makita 6391D cordless drill with 18v ni-cd 1.3ah batteries, just had one battery and charger stolen so have to buy replacements is there any way i can convert it now to lithium batteries if

I can't find a Makita model 6391D drill but they do have a model 6390D drill that takes the 18V Ni-Cd pod battery. The tools and radio don't care what type of battery you use, only that they are 18V. However, to date, Makita does not make a Li-Ion, pod battery. All of their Li-Ion batteries are the slide-on type. Your options for that 18V tool is the 2.6ah Ni-MH battery (PN 193159-1 for a single or 194158-6 for a twin pack), the 2.0ah (PN 192827-3) and 1.3ah (PN 194107-3) Ni-Cd batteries.

Switch and bateries

Makita makes two 12V Ni-Cad pod batteries: Battery 1222/2.0Ah (PN: 192598-2) and Battery 1220/1.3Ah (PN: 192681-5). Makita's universal charger (PN: DC1804) will charge any Ni-MH or Ni-Cad pod or stick battery from 7.2V to 18V.

I think the burning is from vents at back of unit,

Here's what you're looking at for possible parts:
Motor and Pinion PN: 396505-22SV $40
Brush and Holder PN: 603754-01 $6 (ea)
VSR Switch PN: 152274-22 $55
Depending on where you buy, plus shipping. Any or all of the above parts could have caused the drill to get hot enough to make a burning smell. You'll have to take it apart to see what's wrong then assess the repair cost vs. buying new.
